Discussion for article #228452
Iām just surprised he hasnāt sent in the National Guard to round up west africans, and patrol their neighborhoods. Remarkable restraint from Gov. Goodhair.
[typing from Texas]
Yeah, shame about that whole Obamacare / expand Medicaid thing.
This is a win-win for Perry.
If Ebola spreads, itās because of Obamacare.
If itās contained, he takes credit.
If there is a third thing, I canāt remember what it is. Still wonāt get him to the White House, though.
Perry is total failure from His national Guard stun is costing texans $$$ MILLIONS, from secession to begging help from Pres. Obamaās BIG GOVāT to fight Ebola, after gutting fire fighters for disaster release fund, then turnaround tried to blame fed. govāt, his cover-up for the owner fert. factory blew-up in West Texas which killed 11 ppl., he tried to get federal gov.'t paid the damagesā¦
By deny thousand ppl healthcare (medicaid expansion) leaving them defenseless to Ebola this fool goes on a campaign tour. This is someone only the media lovesā¦ F@#K Rick Perryā¦
Now , if Rick perry knew about medicine ā¦
āIām good with Perry trying out the hot seat.ā

a couple of thoughts:
has anyone posed the question if the guy had health insurance; and if he didnāt (thanks gov perry), did that impact the hospitalās lax attention/care he received.
the cdc is being criticized but i donāt believe they have any enforcement authority or way to impose sanctions. and if they had issued mandatory training/federal guidelines (instead of advisories), i can just hear the caterwauling that would have erupted about the evil federal gubmint telling states what to doā¦ āstatesā rights!ā yāallā¦
have the permit processes been streamlined; and how reliable are these private contractorsā¦ so many questions about the dallas fuckup.
This isnāt an outbreak, itās one caseā¦
Perry may be a showboater and an idiot, but he nailed that one. This needs to be said more often.
If itās up to Perry - there will be many dead. Luckily he has NOTHING to do with it.
I donāt think so, particularly since he said this:
In an appearance on Fox News, Perry said, āThis isnāt an outbreak, itās one case,ā and he praised the Centers for Disease Control for being a āvery willing participant and partner in this.ā
Heād better hope Ebola does not spread and that there are no new cases. Otherwise heāll have to explain why he defended the CDC and did not get all crazy over the one case.
I do agree that this is not enough to propel him into the White House. Not by a long shot.
We know gov. Goodhairā¦and we donāt like himā¦
Gather a bunch of teaXians together and pray, Rick.
Remember how well that worked when yāall prayed for rain and got wildfires as an answerā¦
Sometimes you donāt get what you want , but what you need.
A resounding NO!
Thereās an active thread in The Hive about a Perry POTUS candidacy in 2016. Iām pretty convinced that Establishment GOPs badly want to nominate him if Hillary runs. Theyāre afraid she might swing Texas and they should be afraid.
Rick Perry is a whirling dervish.
Since nothing uttered on Fox News can be considered reliable, so too may we consider Perryās words here to be made under the auspices of The Right-Wing Echo Chamber Theory, which holds that words have no meaning except that which you make up yourself.
In this case, nothing Perry said would prevent him from later asserting that Obamacare promised all Americans that if they like their Ebola, they could keep it.
Hard to do some things with volunteers.
Excepting that Perry is no longer popular in Texas.
The only thing keeping Perry afloat in the public eye is a massive over-inflated ego-- and his use of state funds to ramp-up his 2016 POTUS run on the backs of TX taxpayers.
His political life is near an end.

Down played , itās one case.
To the Chikn Littles , itās an epidemic.
Iām surprised they havenāt thrown down a āprayer rugā in his room.
If they remake the Three Stooges Movieā¦they should select Bush, Cheney, and Perry.
I wonder if Perry realizes that the Texas patient was for some reason denied treatment with the seemingly effective experimental drug therapy program that has saved others. Could skin tone be making a difference with the Guv in this case? You bet.
