“He’s somebody who was involved in public service, because he wanted to see the country succeed and he certainly viewed the White House and the federal government as an institution that could be used to advance the interests of the American public."
The good old days…
Any sentient being is bothered these days Josh…it’s the insects in the WH that don’t seem to be able to feel empathy or concern…
Too bad he did not do anything as the leader of the Democratic Party while it went on catastrophic losing streak for the eight years he was President.
I wouldn’t exactly say there’s no movement…
Nice try, but if you will look back at it, the losses were caused by Dems who were too chicken to stand with the President. The losers ran away from him. Remember what’s her name who ran against McConnell in 2014?
I would describe them as more reptilian than insect. Wasps, bees, ants, and even termites, for example, work very hard and with purpose. Of course, any comparison between those people and innocent denizens of the animal kingdom is an insult to the animals. I just happen to find insects more interesting and likeable than reptiles
The occupants of the White House had one objective–loot the Treasury–and they appear to be doing a fine job of that.
Trump: Obama left the country in terrible shape. He also gave us the ObamaCare disease which we cant get rid of. High unemployment, high taxes, division between haves and have nots are some of the hallmark of his administration. He also did not have to invade Iraq or Afghanistan. 9/11 was his fault.
If he is concerned, he should do something about it using his shadow government powers.
Why there is nothing to be concerned about…
Nup nup nup…nothing at all
I think that “Washington” as a euphemism for the extremist, constitution-fucking GOP should have been consigned to the dustbin of history some time ago.
You’re a one trick pony, dude. To continue the metaphor, you just keep flogging that horse…

I think the movement seen is digging holes and burying stuff.
“There’s a sense of a lot of action and a lot of movement in Washington, D.C., but not a lot of movement forward…I think that’s a source of some concern, not just for the former president of the United States but Americans of both parties across the country.”
That was certainly an understatement.
Grimes isn’t a loser nor is she chickenshit. She was in an impossible situation in a state that turned bright red almost overnight and solely in response to the president’s skin color. While there is plenty of blame to go around, do not underestimate how much backlash the Democratic Party faced simply by electing a black man to the highest office in the land. For a lot of rural white folks, especially those from certain parts of the country, that was the party’s greatest sin.
It aggravates me to no end how much of a whiny shit-fit Republicans threw for 8 straight years during Obama’s tenure. Not honest criticism as is expected and acceptable, but a full smear campaign that didn’t line up with the realities of whatever it was Obama was doing at any given time. The obstruction, government shutdowns, bogus investigations and just downright irrational hatred was completely over the top. “He was destroying America”, they said. “He hates America”, they said. “He doesn’t understand American values”, they said. Well, guess what? Republicans regained control of the White House and retained both Houses, and for the first time in my life I’m genuinely concerned about whether or not this country is going to withstand the deplorable shit Republicans are going to inflict upon it. Trump has managed, in 3 months, to create more scandal and embarrassment than Obama didn’t even came close to touching in 8 years. 4 months ago America felt great. I wish we could get Obama back, even for a couple of days just to give us a little break from the absolute fucking disaster we call Trump.
It is hard for me to understand the depth of the “economic anxiety” (code word for Racism) that still exists in this country.
Insects bug me.
