It’s long past time for a special prosecutor, but I’m not holding my breath waiting for a Trump-Sessions DOJ to hire one. Time for Congress and the courts to act.

This is halfway in the right direction, but Durbin’s statement still gives Trump the benefit of the doubt. The correct response is to 1) demand a special prosecutor, and 2) use every legislative tactic and creative non-legislative approach to grind the Trump agenda to a dead stop.
