Discussion: Duncan Hunter Blamed His Wife For His Legal Woes. Then The DOJ Dropped A Bomb

Hell hath no fury eh, Dunc?

According to the filing, Margaret Hunter had reserved a room at a Capitol Hill hotel from June 21 through 24 in 2011, but then rescheduled her flight to arrive in Washington, D.C. on June 22. Instead of cancelling the first night’s reservation, Hunter allegedly spent the night with a female lobbyist whom he’d been seeing since 2009.

More fine Rapepublican party values on parade. Wondering if Dunco at least had the sheets changed before wifey arrived…

Trumpian? I love it, people should line up to submit definitions for this new word.

Ewwwww. Just ewwww. And probably not, hotels don’t normally swap out sheets during such a short stay.

I’m sure this is standard service in DC.

This is truly a master class of how not to stay out of jail. I wonder if he’ll do a TED talk…

Welp, Imma say, on the basis of all received evidence, HE’s a SCUMBAG!

Remember: when a Republican shows you what it is, BELIEVE IT.

It always seems that the most strident Trumpists, and his earliest supporters in the political class, are the ones who turn out to have been living on the other side of the law.
Something about “the last refuge,” maybe.
Or maybe something about trading a constitutionally defined polity for a racially defined one?

Just another Alpha-Male Republican who, because he could not “keep it in his pants”, exposed, and destroyed the highly profitable Grifting he and his Wife were getting away with for YEARS, all the time “rending his clothing on the street-corner” about what a Pios “Family Values” Christian Warrior he was.
Just wait until the Drug-Use & Underage (gay?) Chinese Hookers parties he is rumored to have thrown for other Republican Congressmen and their Staffers stories start coming out.

Disgusted with his arrogance and stupidity, his wife rolled on him to save her own skin, proving once again the old addage: “There is no Honor Among Thieves.”

That he spent money on side women, including an hotel overnight stay, was reported in the press last year.

Minus ten for today’s sensationalized reporting as though the prosecutors’ “painstaking detail” was the first we’d heard about this behaviour.

Hmmm… Never thought of you as being that squeamish.

Omg, the details in that filing. I’m thinking the teen relative is known because his wife is cooperating & was told about it. How else would they know? And some of the other details mean others are talking.

But I missed the drugs part. What was that?

Also: don’t take an Uber if you’re doing illegal sheet, lol

This is so supremely fucked up. He apparently hooked up with a mistress in his wife’s hotel room the night before she was to arrive. Couldn’t they go somewhere else? I mean, this is some over-the-top, almost unheard of passive aggressiveness. His wife is going to destroy him. Utterly decimate this clown.

At least change the sheets in between partners.

Better to not be swapping out partners that quickly, but at least clean sheets if you do.

Step 1: Uber everywhere, you want a down to the minute timeline of your movements

You didn’t have that problem with good old taxis and cash…

LOL This must be his theme song.

Naw. Nailing the mistress on her husband’s bed, that’s passive-aggressive.

Taking advantage of the extra night in the hotel, that’s just kinda “meh”. But usually smarter to do that after the wife has left vice before, so there aren’t stray hairs around the place.
