People like this are a prosecutor’s best friends. They simply don’t know how to STFU. They’re so convinced of their righteousness, they’re sure that if they just get a chance to tell their side of the story, the people in their corner of the world will continue to love and admire them.

Of course, what they’re more likely to do is walk right into an obstruction of justice charge. Any discussions about why the police were not involved when this all occurred is a walk in a minefield. Do they not have attorneys?

Except that, and let’s be fair, Megyn has surprised us all even in these discussions, with coming out from the normal rhetoric that her newsroom spouts.

Also, she is first and foremost, a mother. This could be very interesting to see how she reconciles potentially softball questions with the thought as to how she would respond, were the victim her child.

It will be a very difficult tightrope that she will walk.

Indeed; it’s going to be interesting if Michelle brings out the girls to say how wonderful it is that they’ve forgiven Josh now that he’s truly found Jesus. It gives me the creeps just thinking about it.

They won’t be interviewed on FOX. That would consist of questions like “Don’t you think you owed to an audience that portrayed you as picture perfect Christians the truth” or " Thou shalt not bear false witness is the Commandment…don’t you think lying by omission would irk God too "

None of that will happen. They will be asked questions ( with answers drafted by the authors of the questions ) tailored to to re-image themselves as victims and normal fallible people. FOX is there in the capacity of crisis management folks not journalists.

I think they’re well past the statute of limitations for any possible criminal charges. At this point it’s just a question of whether they can salvage some sort of income stream. I’ll be they’re angling for a book deal. Portraying themselves as the victims of anti-Christian bigotry is Step One.
