Discussion: Drugs Casually Handed Out As ‘Parting Gift’ In Jackson’s ‘Grab And Go’ Med Unit

The only thing they are really looking for is a figurehead who won’t stand in the way of privatization schemes. That’s it.

Yeah that puts all those glowing Obama staffers recs into a different light. I mean, a drug dealer who gives you your drugs for FREE? Oh, yeah, Mr. Popularity.

All this swirling into the drain is very public. Which leads one to wonder why the hell when Donald Trump comes calling on a person, for anything, their first reaction isn’t to run the opposite direction as fast as their legs will carry them.

I have yet to see him nominate or appoint anyone who didn’t have questionable judgment - which may explain why they don’t run away from the danger, but toward it.

Isaakson (GOP head of VA cmte) lobbied to keep Shulkin on the job. He also did not issue thunderous statements re Tester sharing the reports of ‘problems’ with Jackson. So at least ‘somebody’ in the GOP was trying to protect the VA from this baloney.

Wonder if the navy will investigate further regarding his dereliction of duty? The VA is now cutting off veterans - cold turkey - from opioids to comply with new CDC guidelines. One veteran has filed a lawsuit against the VA:

Guess that’s how they get those extra pills to hand out to Dotard and friends…

Good point. I think once these ‘sleep/focus’ drugs became available it was ready for abuse by the WH doctor. I wonder if the doctor before Jackson got bounced because he did not go along with the ‘new’ drill.

Just thought: how long before Trump is accusing HILLARY of being a drug addict because SHE traveled a lot and Dr. Jackson may have been giving ‘her’ his magic travel pills. Wait a minute: Jackson did not become WH MD until 2012 and that was when she quit. So maybe he ‘can’t’ accuse her of drug addiction.

But just you WAIT, I still think he will.

I have a concierge doctor and during flu season will sometimes call up and ask for a Z-Pack or some such medication. He’s prescribed me a bottle of prednisone to bump up as needed. Often over the phone.

If this was done with light questioning and documentation, I don’t see much of a problem with this. If it’s just handed out without any questioning, then that’s way out of whack and he should lose his license.

Owning a lot of property in New York city and just holding on to it is enough to keep a person very rich for a while. Never mind that much of that property was acquired by his father. It’s mostly his now. Almost all his ventures that required entrepreneurship and savvy went bust-casinos, airline, food, fashion, and some large chunks of his real estate empire.

He had a decent niche as a TV host for a while and now a decent little golf course empire. It remains to be seen if branding is a long term viable property. There are 100’s and 1000’s of better and more successful business people in this country and around the world. Surely no one can doubt that now.

Something else to blame Nixon for: there were two artificial sweeteners and he picked ONE rather than the OTHER (buddy, BIG campaign contributions) to authorize officially and ‘illegalized’ (?) the other one. The disallowed one tasted better (and my memories go back to the '70s on this) but Nixon had his way.

SO LET’S BLAME NIXON.

Z-packs are antibiotics. The flu is a virus.

Obviously not qualified as VA Secretary, but I hope that he stays as the Asshole-elect’s doctor. After all if Cadet Bone Spur comes down with something serious, they may find Jackson shit-faced.

One outgoing White House President Obama administration official was reportedly given 20 pills of Provigil as a “parting partying gift” from Jackson.

FIFY!

Why didn’t an employee contact the press about this years ago? The Washington Post with Marty Baron as editor would have jumped on this.

I really don’t understand how the Navy puts up with such behavior. Is the country a fraud? So much for being “Number 1.”

What I am told by career military is that really good garden-variety, internist-type doctors are not exactly beating down the doors to get into the military, so there’s a tendency to overlook a lot with the ones they do have - they can’t afford to get rid of them.

Think about the kind of practice this is - I can’t imagine it’s much more challenging than Minute Clinic at Target, really.

“Carbonated battery acid,” per Bloom County, 1980s

I believe we have found the nexus between Dr. Jackson’s job as presidential physician and President Trump’s frequent imbalanced outbursts.

Behind every prescription addict is a Dr. Robert (or Dr. Ronny, in this case). These are the real felons imo. No doubt he’s been doing favors for DT, which might also explain the coked-up behavior on display in, say, the Fakes and Friends interview yesterday.

Definitely carbonated Dow Chemical. Considering Sweet N Low was based on Coal Tar derivatives, what is not to like right? Then we can move on to discussing Aspartame.
