Discussion: Drugs Casually Handed Out As ‘Parting Gift’ In Jackson’s ‘Grab And Go’ Med Unit

Right. This didn’t just start last year. The IG report of a “hostile workplace” was from 2012. How much of this has been swept under the rug? Shouldn’t the medical office serving the White House be under a little more scrutiny?

We may now know why trump sniffed so much during speeches…

The subtext to this whole sad affair is how many enemies Jackson had inside his operation. It appears all of this is coming from people who report to Jackson and it’s widespread.

As an aside, I have no problem with liberally dispensing Ambien and Provigal liberally on overseas travel. Jet lag can be a real issue for some, and everyone I know who travels overseas regularly takes Ambien.

Me neither. Alcohol, sure. Whatever. But if I found out that Trump had developed a need to use propofol to simulate sleep I would not bat an eye.

A guy who drinks a dozen Diet cokes per day is not someone who doesn’t rely on substances to regulate his sleep/wake periods. My only question is why he’d send his source out of his immediate orbit. Or was he planning on having the head of the VA continue to office out of a room across from his private quarters?

Dr Borenstein, the trump family pill doctor before he was president and who “wrote” a particularly laughable letter about trump’s exceedingly excellent and bigly health. He could be the next sacrificial lamb.

The GOP in the Senate is openly frustrated and fed up with being left out of discussions for various positions in Trump’s administration. They rightfully think they could have spared Trump several embarassments with just a bit of advise and consent being part of his MO. Trump and those working for him know of this frustration. So what does Trump do? He tells Fox & Friends they may be the first to find out his next VA head nominee, via a call.

Idjit.

Honestly, the only people I have run into that did that routine were usually diabetics as well. That is a broad brush admittedly, just my experience. Same thing with Tab as well. Never understood how anyone could willingly drink that.

When you have this much blow back, he could be the best person on the planet, but there is something wrong.

Multiple studies now strongly indicate the consumption of diet soda leads to obesity. Not that you could convince about 100 million obese people in the U.S. of it.

Fact that trump is a flaming idjit leads me to wonder how the hell he managed to get to billionaire level rich. He should have flamed out and ended up in a homeless shelter or under a bridge somewhere. Certainly not the White House.

This may be something that extends backwards beyond Trump. Something systemic in that unit. A lot of going along, not rocking the boat when it should have been acted on. It becomes the culture and not the exception.

My family never had soft drinks around when I was growing up and I wasn’t about to spend my meager funds on buying it more than once every week or two when I was in high school. But I liked the slightly bitter taste of diet drinks a lot better than overly sweetened regular sodas, which (unlike sugary food) often triggered headaches for me anyway. You couldn’t buy water in the coke machines so it was one or the other.

I have read several articles relating to that and the fact it messes with your system more than sugar does. Not sure the veracity, but in the long run, diet sodas are nasty stuff.

That is interesting actually. Never considered that someone might prefer the taste. I always found the after taste of diet sodas off putting. On the other hand, I struggle when ordering an ice tea to make sure it is sugar free. Seems everyone wants to dump sugar in it and it is presumed I do too. I like it bitter to a point.

Jackson was never qualified to begin with, so of course, don’t let the door hit you, etc. But seriously, doctors lose their license for doing stuff like this. Sometimes they even go to jail. The DEA has been terrorizing doctors in private practice for lax opioid or controlled substance prescribing practices – and Jackson wasn’t even writing a prescription for these drugs. I work in a related field and it’s hard to overstate what a breach of professional protocol and licensing laws this represents.

He’s not a billionaire. Several financial analysts suspect after much rooting around in available records his worth may be in the low 100 millions. Credible sources and government filings reveal he’s in hock for over $300 million, and that was a year ago. So much of his worth is branding, and the value of his brand has indisputedly taken a hit in the last year. Additionally, I suspect he owes money to people off the books. No one declares to the government ethics office debts due the Russian mob.

President Donald Trump had personal liabilities of at least $315.6 million to German, US and other lenders as of mid-2017, according to a federal financial disclosure form released late on Friday by the US Office of Government Ethics.

The per capita consumption of diet sodas in the U.S. has plummeted, probably due to the alternative consumption of bottled water.

This guy will be lucky to keep his medical license when all of this is over. At a minimum, if the allegations prove true, he should be suspended from practice until he completes some kind of program for impaired physicians and successfully makes it through some period of supervised probation.

But he can’t continue to be the president’s persona physician, he just can’t.

He may still have a future in the military, but if he retires or is discharged, I don’t see him having much of a career in the private sector.

So much - as usual - for Trump’s alleged interest in the opioid problem; there’s no way you can characterize someone functioning as a drug dealer as “fantastic” and “wonderful” and “great,” when he’s handing out drugs like candy.

As an aside, I hope the rumors of a possible nomination of Rick Perry to leave Energy and head the VA are not true; Perry’s about the dimmest of dim bulbs, which is the last thing the VA needs. Which is why it makes me worry that it’s true.
