Discussion: Drain The Swamp? Amazon's Cozy And Profitable Relationship With The DOD

This pretty much sums up everything about Dotard…

Though President Donald Trump hates Bezos and rails against the Washington swamp, he seems to be unaware of the massive transactions happening in his own backyard.

And the Dotard is gonna be really pissed when he finds out that he didn’t get a cut of those massive transactions.

all the information from 400 different servers in one secure location.

Guess no one in the DOD or CIA is familiar with the idiom regarding eggs and baskets?

Is Jeff Bezos an American oligarch?

Big IT projects like this usually fail, but not until years of payments have been made.

In fact, Oracle is the big complainer about the Amazon contract, and they would like more of the DOD’s business.

And Oracle is run by billionaire Larry Ellison, who is a big Trump supporter and Nunes supporter.

So, under Trump, the Swamp will never be drained, exactly, just repopulated with preferable critters.

So if the DoD gets a prime membership how much will this cost the US Taxpayer?

If you didn’t caption it as “Vin Bezzos” and just put the picture up I would swear that it’s a Russian oligarch.

So have we come to part of this shitshow where there are Russian oligarchs everywhere we look?

Quite true. I would also be very interested to know if Amazon’s cloud has ever been hacked.

Perhaps the DJT family’s “TriState Mob” aesthetic is being replaced by the “Russian Mobster” aesthetic. I call them “Russian Lobsters” though, because I misheard it that way once, and it makes me laugh.

From the article:

One-stop shopping for Russian military intelligence, Chinese special units, or any other potential adversary when the time for kinetic action comes.

Ask any serious network-security professional how this single-point-of-failure will work out.

Could we first please ask how many highly trained cyber security officials are still employed in the US gov’t?

The “Cloud” is just a concept. There is no non-physical place where you can backup your data that is magically protected from hacking. In fact, once this is done, it makes it a lot easier because hackers now know where to concentrate their efforts.

Sensitive data, if not protected thusly already, needs to run through a series of servers just as Internet crime is routed through multiple servers.

Amazon is an evil, relentless monopolist that must be broken up.They won’t stop until they sell everything to everybody. Read this to understand;

Bids written such that only one company can actually meet them is so fucking common it isn’t even funny.

Maybe Amazon will hire Omarosa and really piss off the toddler in chief.

Can’t believe I am actually defending the Trump administration, but Government contracts tailored specifically to one vendor are nothing new. This behavior has been going on for decades.

" Last year, a so-called “Amazon amendment” was quietly tucked into a
defense bill making Amazon the government’s go-to source of online
shopping. That stipulation earns Amazon $53 billion annually.’

and this is the kind of thing i wish broadcast media would cover instead of the latest stupid tweet

because this is dirtier than the stormy daniels story
