She never needed to be the new MN senator in the first place if our party didn’t act like a lynch mob towards Franken. We had hardly anyone who was a louder voice against Trump and we have no idea how combative Smith will be. For all I know, she could be the next Martha Coakley.

This is going to make it more difficult for McConnell to protect swing state GOP Senate seats now that he only has one special dispensation to grant. He is going to have to rely on Democratic filibusters to bail him out.

I didn’t get any memo.

The point is we can’t rush to judgement about scandals and keep eating our own when we need our biggest champions out there being as vocal as possible about Trump and the Republicans in Congress trying to ruin our country.
