How was your 1/2 marathon out here?

āWeāre the GOP. We want your daughters!ā
Yeah, thatād make a pretty good campaign sloganā¦
Doug Jones subtext:
Run Roy Run!
IIRC, when I spent nearly a year in Evansville (across the river from KY), there was a whole lot of discontent with Bevin after he won and many residents could barely believe he had. Then he did something (was it medicare cuts or ACA cuts, something like that) that made even more people unhappy.
I remember thinking at the time that it was too far away from his re-election for this to become a critical issue. If his opponent runs on this issue, it could be a winner.
Do we know his favorability numbers at this point?
Heās deeply underwater. His approval rating is 33% and he is the least popular governor in the nation. An incumbent with his numbers should lose. Thatās why youāre seeing people like Amy McGrath sit on the sidelines. They want to know if they can trust Kentuckians to vote pragmatically instead of ideologically the way they once did (remember they voted for Clinton twice).
I read this story about their dislike of Bevin and the awful conclusion that in spite of all his failings he remains the R in the race.
Alabama: I dream Harper Lee and MLK Jr., then I wake up and remember George Wallace.
Yes, Iāve just seen those too, but that doesnāt speak to how well he would do against a Dem. I know, I know - KY is a red State.
But his approval numbers are in the 30s. Maybe Trump can survive with those numbers, but Iām not so sure someone else could. The one thing to be aware of is coattails: McConnell may well win the Senate seat again and, with that, a GOP governor could follow.

āWashington establishment.ā[/quote]
So, a trump humper is now saying he doesnāt have to do what daddy says?
Am I really reading that right?
Yet another example of gop. You have to do what daddy says, but I donāt. Lord, lord. Will this stupid shit never end?
Please let both Moore and Gaetz run: the pederast and carpetbagger DUI dream slate.
I guess I care more about the Senatorās ground game. Mobilization. Registration. Turnout, turnout and more turnout.
Thatās one turtle I wouldnāt mind seeing squashed in the middle of the road.
But lets face facts. He is a great Dem candidate for AL, Heās a great man. Which means that against a child molester in a great year for Demās he barely won.
Dem enthusiasm has ebbed in recent special elections and he probably wonāt run against a child molester next time. Their just arenāt many swing voters in AL. Heās toast.
The votes for Barr mattered and matter. Barr has immediately provied himself to be an ideologue who interprets his job to be that of Trump protector.
I am tired of Democrats who get to vote for scumbags like Kavanaugh and Barr. Barrās performance in his brief time since the confirmation vote ought to be held against both Jones and Manchin. I was tired of the fucking Blue Dogs ten years ago. Thought we had rid ourselves of them.
I agree. It is simply a credible scheme to siphon campaign money.
Mitch goes down to the crossroads to sell his soul to the devil.
Fifty-six percent of white women in Alabama voted for the accused pedophile and acknowledge scumbag, Roy Moore. Jones won without that coven of self-loathing idiots and he can again.
The only person who could make the Turtle sweat is KY sports radio host Matt Jones. Heās on the fence since Schumer wants Amy McGrath to run, but I doubt she can win given that she lost her race for Congress.
