I’m not a reporter for TPM though. The comment section tends to get a pass, but TPM has a long history of only lightly proofing their pieces.

One of the biggest weaknesses TPM has is this failure to proofread. Another is the asinine headlines completely contradicted in the first paragraph of the article. Followed closely by breathlessly posting outlier poll results with zero analysis, or even a nod to the fact that single polls are essentially meaningless outside the context of aggregated polling.

I would love to join TPM Prime but, as I have told Josh repeatedly, I will not do so until they start making big strides toward correcting these flaws. I will not support amateur hour with my money.

This is absolutely true, but fortunately for this crowd, we can understand despite the obstacles they throw up.

One of the biggest offenders, alas, is Josh himself. His “editor’s blog” posts are littered with misspellings, grammatical errors, and some truly tortured syntax. I wonder how he got through Princeton, which doesn’t give a lot of multiple-choice exams.
