Discussion: Donald Trump's Private Jet Isn't Currently Registered To Fly

Cool, I could register 45 private jets for the price of registering my car for three years. Your state may vary, but Yay America!

Kind of sickening the perks the ultra-wealthy get in this country compared to the rest of us, that’s for sure.

Hillarious!

And he wants to get rid of all those onerous Federal regulations…

Because following the rules is for the little people…

An unregistered plane flying around New York should warrant a military “escort”.

Exactly. You buried the lead on this story. Private jet owners pay a whole $5 to register for 3 years. Are we sure they can afford it?

If his plane’s registration isn’t current, why is it being flown? And five-fucking bucks to register a private plane that size? I would think that this should be, along with annual FAA mandated inspections, about $5,000.00 a year.

Unfair. The whole process is rigged

The FAA warned DJT Operations CX, the LLC that Trump owns and that operates his plane, when the registration was set to expire and reminded the LLC again when it did expire, according to the report. But the Times noted those notices were sent to National Registered Agents, a company Trump does not own that he listed as the contact for DJT Operations CX when he first registered the aircraft.

Does that mean Drumpf gave the FAA a phony address to save $5? Fine the MoFo.

(BTW the plane in the photo is not the Citation, which is white.)

If Trump was Mexican and this was an unregistered car DEA agents would already have it disassembled by the side of the road and Donnie would be on his way to Pink Pajama Land.

The $5 figure is a bit misleading. The Fed may only charge $5, (fyi it is $5 no matter if it is a piper cub or a biz jet) for basically letting them know you still own the plane. The real registration fees come at the state level just like your car. When I owned a very cheap single engine airplane the yearly cost by my state far exceeded what it would cost me to register a car of the same price.

So, if it’s not registered, could its insurer deny coverage if it is in an accident?

You have to look at the big picture. Keeping the price of jet registration low encourages people to buy jets, which helps keep the economy strong. It’s in everyone’s interest.

In Boston, you pay $15 to license your dog for one year - and that’s if it’s been spayed or neutered. If it’s “intact,” you pay $30.

Yes. But let’s hope that doesn’t happen. Let’s hope Trump goes to jail for three years, which is another possibility.

Air Force None.

This is the guy that’s gonna get things done, huh? He can’t even manage the simple things…like a measly $5 registration renewal fee. Not to mention not knowing how to secure his own fucking delegates…and the list goes on.

The Art of the Deal I tellz ya, The Art of the Deal…'cause he’s a businessman of extra-ordinary knowledge, tenacity and sophistication.

Yeah, riiiiight. Wonder how much they had to buy off his professors at Wharton so he could graduate with some kind Bachelor’s degree. Its not like he was top of his class or we would have never heard the end of it by now out of his own mouth.

But then its cost gets written off. Thus taxpayers are subsidizing it. I don’t see that as being in my best interest as a taxpayer.

But now you’re just acquiescing in tactics that only divide us as a people. First they came for the jet owners, and I said nothing, because I was not a jet owner. Then they came for the non-jet-owners, and that included me and everyone else, so there we were. Everyone had been come for.

Small potatoes compared to the big picture:
