Even though you are right on this one thing, SHUT THE FUCK UP, DONALD!

Donald Trump made his thoughts on the Iraq War very clear on Tuesday with a tweet

That pretty much sums up the depth of his thoughts.

I don’t think any member of the GOP is qualified to be President.

This from the man that said in 2013 that we should go back into Iraq and take the oil to pay ourselves back for the war.

Knowing what we now know, Trump’s head should be shaved.

So The Donald is finally admitting that Obama is qualified for the Presidency, because he did not support the invasion of Iraq.

Anyone who wears a dead squirrel stapled to their head is unqualified to be president, so that eliminates Trump and Rand Paul.

Why Trump likes to forget that the things he says are recorded, I will never know. Despite whatever eleventh hour (as in, twelve years later) clarity Trump now claims to have, just three years ago he called the Iraqi people ungrateful for all we had done for them with the war:

How much is it worth to them to be rid of the bloodthirsty dictatorship of Saddam Hussein and to have gained a democracy? In reality, that’s a priceless gift. When I say they should pay us back, I’m not even talking about cash out of their pockets. All I’m asking is that they give us, temporarily, a few flows of oil–enough to help pay us back and help take care of the tens of thousands of families and children whose brave loved ones died or were injured while securing Iraqi freedom. But does Iraq do that? No. In fact, they’ve made it clear they have no intention of ever doing so. Ever. The ingratitude of Iraq’s leadership is breathtaking.

Years ago I had a radio that was a lot like Trump - some days it would bring in a clear signal - other days - nothing but irritating meaningless static.

“…And Damnit! I know unqualified from personal experience”

There, finished the quote.

At least The Donald understand why bush invaded.

There are 17 months to go.

Also, just reporting/repeating what Trump said without doing some quick digging on his history of statements on the Iraq mistake is poor journalism from TPM (and everyone else!). What would stop so many of these political quacks in their tracks would be actual reporting on what they said then and now. Catching them in their many contradictions and LIES would paralyze them and leave just a few decent politicians in good standing.

With this comment, and his statements last week about infrastructure and Pam Geller, it would appear that Trump has decided to aim his campaign at the “sane” portion of the Republican base. Both of them.
