The rudderless ship just got more unstable.

Sort of like a lousy ball team firing the manager because firing the whole team isn’t an option.

Rat? Sinking ship??

Or perhaps “walking the plank” is more appropriate?

How can you screw up that job? What is there to do?

“The Donald J. Trump Campaign for President, which has set a historic record in the Republican Primary having received almost 14 million votes, has today announced that Corey Lewandowski will no longer be working with the campaign,” Hicks said in the statement.

I think if Trump suffered a broken arm in a fall the press release would read:

"Donald Trump, who received a record number of votes in the Republican nomination fight, broke his arm today in a fall."

People will debase themselves for money in cringeworthy embarrasing fashion.

“The historic success of the campaign has given us no choice but to sever ties with the campaign manager.”

We might all have theories about why, but the Trump group is unusually leaky and I’m sure there’ll be stories coming out and some will be more plausible than others.

Simple. Either Corey gets canned or Manafort was going to walk.

Sounds like Politician Apprentice. You’re fired!!

Lewandowski was unavailable for comment as he is currently in negotiations to get his pension up from 70 cents on the dollar.

Campaign manager who:

Failed to realize a ground game was needed for securing open delegates
Failed to realize there were any requirements in primaries
Brought the news upon himself for two weeks for being a dick to a woman
Failed to organize a ground game for the national
Failed to keep the message straight.
Marginalized by at least two other doofuses hired as Campaign Manager, I mean, Executive, I mean Overseer.

If this was the Apprentice, Corey would have been fired after Week 1. Donald is slipping.

Corey Lewandowski probably did not play well with the hedge fund kleptocrat Tramp hired. Paul Ryan will probably hire Corey right away for his campaign.

If firing Lewandowski doesn’t give him a mulligan on his racist campaign, this is all smoke and noise. He’s still going to lose by a lot and this drive the narrative that his campaign is in disarray. I’m tempted to bet against him not being the nominee in the market at this point…

Didn’t tRump’s campaign say the same about Roger Stone at one point? Stone is just yelling from the cheap seats now, but I think its pretty obvious he works for tRump or on his behalf all the same. So this really shouldn’t be seen as news imo, just changing seats on the Titanic. Manafort seems to be tRump’s image guy when he appears on TV, but then again, that’s what he’s been doing anyway. Lewandowski never did much work as a surrogate on TV, did he? Manafort is supposed to be in charge of PR and organization, but all he’s really done is PR it seems and made a couple of additional hires. Still, tRump’s campaign is seriously lacking and falling farther and farther behind.

That’s too bad, I was really enjoying what a shitty team Lewandowski and Trump made. So much for Trump’s ability to pick the best people and do the stuff that he doesn’t want to do.

Seems you aren’t alone in that assessment.

Maybe Trump’s just moving him from “full-time employee” to “contractor” so he can skimp on the health insurance.
