It doesn’t matter what the Constitution or the courts say. It doesn’t matter what the media says. All that matters is what the rabid, insane base of the Republican Party thinks - and they are not known for doing any rational thinking, which is exactly what Trump is counting on, and exactly what the delusional media does not understand.

I don’t support Rubio but by what the Constitution calls qualifications Rubio is in.
He’s older than 35.
He was born in America which makes him “natural born”

Rubio is pretty foolish here. He’s spending way more than “zero time” on the subject. He’s right what he says about this being a game that Trump plays to distract, but he’s falling into that trap anyway just by spelling it out. Rubio’s proper response is, “Not interested. Next question.” Then he should be instructing his surrogates to call Trump every dirty name in the book while he focuses on what he wants to focus on.

Trump is not saying they are not citizens. He is saying they are ineligible to be President, for which a literal reading of the founding documents says he is correct. But then a literal reading of the 2nd Amendment would lead one to believe someone with a gun was also associated with a well-trained militia.
Way back in Latin I class, I learned about a renowned orator who had come up with a technique of attacking his opponents without ever taking responsibility for the attacks. That Trump is allowed to get away with merely saying “I’m only repeating what someone else said” is a real indictment of our “press.”
Frankly, since he’s all about domination, I think if Cruz or Rubio literally walked up to Trump and decked him, the whole house of cards would disintegrate almost instantaneously. Too bad no one will do actually do that; I don’t advocate violence, but Trump is dangerous, and his followers ARE violent, and this is all leading to a very bad outcome.
