I just found the TPM article on Oklahoma. Here’s their explanation:

In az, repubs or dems can only vote for their respective parties. Those with no party preference can choose their ballot.
I was wrong, Oklahoma has closed primaries but last year Democrats voted ot allow independents to vote in their primary election.
So when does this turnout thing become a problem? I’m seriously worried.
