The “Boss” mentallity resides in Trump.
Trump is aware that, notwithstanding the rights Americans have under the Constitution, to look at subservience and hatred veiled juxtaposed with (forced) cordiality and “folksiness” one only has to look at the world of work. Here, one’s self-respect and dignity often take a back seat.
I have seen almost psycopathic sadism applied in academic departments, while the Assistant Professor up for Tenure must swallow every illogical word of a ranking colleague voting on that tenure.
Some “Efficiency Reports” in the Military (especially those of upper Field Grade Officers) carry with them the grinding sweat of having, literally, worked for slave drivers.
And in Trump’s world, the above dynamics are exponentially greater and more satanic.
This is why there is so much countervailing cultural ethos in pop culture, film, television of the cool, laconic American who “takes no ***t” and “does things his way”. For every one of those there are thousands of yes-men, hanging on to BossMan’s every word.
The key thing here is Trump’s use of the word “jobs”.
Because, to GAIN (as well as KEEP) a job, people will do most anything. One could surmise that John Boehner is a sadist and sociopath, being that his policies of Obstruction are literally killing people.
One could argue he is doing his JOB and is thinking (correctly) that, if he can’t do it, they (meaning a Trump-like Oligarch) will find someone else who will.
Given this setting that Trump has resided in his entire life, why would he say anything different at this point in time?

People, including the so-called celebrity set, who crave attention and are seemingly validated by it, make their living off of it, exhibit being thin-skinned, lack empathy, and live outside of themselves, are mentally ill on some level. Exhibit A = The Donald!

Trump always was a ridiculous man, but I think it’s about time we started a conversation about his increasingly obvious mental illness. Specifically, the man seems rather obviously delusional and his egomania has become pathological.
Meanwhile though, he certainly is the perfect Id of the Republican party.
