He did campaign in Florida, so there’s that. New Yorkers already know him. California might have shifted, but in both directions. He showed up there in the primary. The problem is that voters in 40 of the 50 states essentially didn’t matter.
Trump must refute adversaries and assert supremacy and dominance on a daily basis. He can’t let any sleight go unanswered, or any assertion he’s less than a God among men. This does not bode well for the next four years, Being President, among other things, involves being the object of a continuous stream of sleights. It also means every other nation and leader on the planet pushing back against your primacy. There isn’t a person less well suited to the demands of the office than Trump.
The glimmer of hope I was having that the man can grow up,live in the real world, and face the responsibilities of the office in a mature way have just been dashed. I think forever. I was probably a fool for having it in the first place.

At some point Trump is going to have to resign. There are things which can induce him to do so. The fact that this is not thought about more is disheartening.
The country and planet cannot survive President Trump. If GOP loyalty obscures that simple fact…If the MSM obscures that fact. If the American people ignore that fact, it will be a stunning example of how one person was able to use the norms, character, institutions and political apparatus of the world’s most powerful country and take it completely over.

Trump reads tweets. He monitors the internet for chatter and statements relating him. The janitor at Maple Hill Elementary in Dubuque, Iowa could go on an anti-Trump tweet binge and if it was somehow elevated to a prominence that Trump noticed he’d actually take the time and energy to push back.
If somehow a consortium of people, a band of trolls if you will, were to engage Trump in an unrelenting barrage of insults, slanders, incendiary memes and the like his staff would have to lock him in the broom closet to keep him from becoming single-mindedly obsessed with retorting. I almost think a few hundred united people could cripple his ability to cope and function with the right approach.
