Discussion for article #244848

The Donald knows his audience and he knows how to sell what they’re buying!

Big fucking deal.

If there really was a benevolent God it would see fit to let Lenny Bruce back on the planet for the next 9 months.

Panicked columns about Trump today in the NYT by David Brooks and in the WashPost by Michael Gerson. They don’t seem to get it: this is his party now. And it couldn’t happen to a nicer group of sociopaths.

Why evangelical voters don’t see Trump as a precursor to Revelations, I’ll never understand. His hair must hide the horns.

I saw Rain of Toads in 73’ or 74’ I think. I eagerly await their reunion tour.

And I thought Graham’s endorsement of Jeb!™ was going to be such a game-changer. Oh, well.

The fact that the establishment empty suit…sorry, the top-polling establishment empty suit is at 8 percent is both hilarious and terrifying.

Misleading headline, TPM. You should indicate trump’s lead is among republicans, not voters at large.

Of all the veneer-of-legitimacy shitfuckers out there, I think Brooks is at the top of my shit list.

Sometimes I wish he’d die. But really, I just wish he’d end up penniless.

Lenny might consider him a vengeful god for doing that.

Or they do, and just want to speed things up. Remember the end result is Christ’s return and eternal kingdom.

It would have been interesting to see how Trump would have fared in the polls if the entire media hadn’t (in search of ratings) been his lapdog.
But we’ll never know.

Indeed. Trump is the political equivalent of World Wrestling or Jerry Springer and the media are happy to put him front and center just for ratings and sensationalism. The fact that he’s the GOP base’s pick shows how deeply misanthropic and desperate it is. If the ideology you follow leads to you Trump, of what use is the ideology? (No Politics for Old Men)

LOL. Even if they were able to knock Trump out of the top spot, they would elevate Cruz, who practices calculated bigotry, insult and cold-heartedness in contrast to Trump’s off-the-cuff bigotry, insult and cold-heartedness.

Not to mention inaccurate quote:

TPM:
“and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) at 8 percent.”

NBC:
“…Marco Rubio at 11 percent and Ben Carson at 8 percent …”

Bad enough when TPM just transcribes press releases; now cut 'n paste is a problem.

Not for long with the Palin endorsement.

Great news, Americans! The national GOP horserace poll aggregator at Pollster now certifies that – at a minimum – nearly three in four Republicans is absolutely bonkers!

That’s right, candidates whom you must be crazy to support (Trump, Cruz, Carson, Huckabee, Paul and Santorum) outpoll candidates whom you might be crazy to support (Rubio, Bush, Christie, Cruella and Kasich) by a 2.94:1 margin – an all-time high number.

We all await the celebration when the ratio finally tops 3:1, and then eventually the coronation of Donald Trump or Ted Cruz as your Republican nominee!
