Discussion: DOJ Tells Congress To Fix Immigration After Judge's Order To Reunite Families

The main problem isn’t the law. The biggest problem is that the people applying the “law” are breaking it. Once the border patrol and the ICE, collectively know as the Migra, begin to obey the law, then we can discuss how to go forward.

Both US and international law clearly state that asylum seekers are not illegal and must be accorded the same treatment as anyone else. In other words, you may not put them in jail, you most assuredly cannot kidnap their children, you may not confiscate their possessions, and they are allowed to cross wherever they can. They are not restricted to certain crossing points that the Migra then blocks. The only requirement is that they contact the Migra within 24 hours of entering the US and claim asylum.

But by now Sessions has proven beyond a doubt that laws are just suggestions that can be ignored whenever ignoring them is convenient.

“Otherwise, the administration says, “lawlessness at the border will continue.””

Otherwise, the administration says, “OUR lawlessness at the border will continue.”

FIFY

Couldn’t be clearer that they intend to simply and completely ignore the court’s orders.
