Isn’t it about time we started calling him by the name “Traitor Nunes”
There must be a lot of Russian cash you’re trying to cover up, cause it sure looks like you’re working for them
I hope Nunes is fingered as an accomplice.
Trump is putting Nunes up to all this, in his efforts to keep track of as much of the myriad investigations into his conduct as possible. Any deference he feigns to the DOJ is a smokescreen.
Could endanger? Of course he wants to endanger an intel source - he wants to expose them specifically - either to professionally destroy that person and place him in legal jeopardy or to have the GRU/FSB/SVR/KGB/NKVD take them out.
For a fee Essential Consultants LLC will find out the names for you.
I’m just really surprised the DOJ is resisting like it is.
Nunes is TRYING to get someone killed, as revenge for giving evidence against Trump.
At least the Rosenbergs had ideals.
It’s a slo-mo mob hit using the levers of power in our federal government. Disgusting.
Edit: upon reflection, the slow motion of this effort really shows how this group of actors are really ineffectual and really rather pathetic. Surely one of the signs a capo is to be feared is a quick and decisive revenge.
Of course, success in harnessing the bureaucracy to carry out their personal vendettas would be a different type and level of total control that would completely make me reconsider this statement.
OT-But I have thought about it over my coffee and I disagree with Josh Marshall on the probable sources for Michael Avenatti’s release of information yesterday. Avenatti has been cooperating with the SDNY agents and prosecutors on the Cohen investigation. He has shared his intel with them. My gut is now telling me that after Rudy Giuliani stabbed his former office in the back last week, and stabbed the NYC FBI office in the back (mind you, the same office that leaked to him and the Campaign the new Anthony Weiner laptop emails so he could get Chaiffetz to reveal it ten days before the election) by calling them Storm Troopers for raiding Cohen’s home, hotel room and office, someone in the investigation leaked this stuff to Avenatti. It will shut down the talk of some Witch Hunt investigation into Trump’s “personal lawyer.” It will also put a spot light directly on the Special Master (former Giuliani Law Partner) who is being asked by Cohen’s attorneys to agree that large swaths of the evidence seized in the SDNY raids are “privileged attorney client” communications. By putting Essential Consulting LLC out there, it is clear to the press and everyone watching this that there was a criminal bribery scheme going on between Trump, Cohen, Novartis, ATT&T and a proxy for Putin.
Well, you know, that’s the thing about getting into bed with a post-Soviet Russian intelligence agency. They eventually start hinting that one way or another, someone is going to die.
After all it worked once before for a REPUG and a VP at that…
So nice to have our own little unhinged POS running around ‘demanding’ privileged information or he will ‘expose’ the DOJ…WTF? Nunes WORKS FOR the government. He signed a fking OATH to uphold it’s laws and he doesn’t believe in any of it.
Nunes ploy looks like a standard from the playbook: according to Tierney Sneed’s parallel article, Concord Management, which Mueller implicated with the indicted Russian troll farm, wants to do “extensive discovery” on Mueller’s documentation. It sounds like all the defendants want inside dope.
It all looks like part of a broad effort to make parts of the investigation go away.
Really, I wanna know about Nunes’ prospective liability for attempting to obstruct justice by subverting the investigation. It’ll give me something to wish for.
Autospelling edited to correct.
“Nunes, in turn, has become increasingly agitated”
Maybe Dev-boy thinks it might be him.
Republicans have no problem outing covert agents when it furthers their political ends.
Either that or for leaks, or both. He definitely is in trouble, hence the drama.
I’m not sure why anyone gives Nunes the time of day, never mind classified information.
Senior FBI and national intelligence officials warned the White House last week that the documents House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) has requested could endanger a U.S. citizen who shared intelligence with the FBI and the CIA, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.
The Republican Cheney Admin burned Valerie Plame for payback.
Not clear why Republicans have the rep as being good stewards of the nation’s Foreign Policy…
