âDOJ Dismisses Alleged Census Case Bombshell As âMeritlessâ And âInflammatoryââ
Barrâs DOJ is meritless and inflammatory.
There, fixed it for you
The Justice Department came out guns blazing in a court filing Monday evening denying many of the claims of new evidence and alleged false testimony in the census citizenship case.
So, they donât have a leg to stand on, eh?
Fake DOJâŚ
Yup, trying to lie and bluster their way to a friendly SCOTUS (who will, of course, claim to believe that the DOJ wasnât lying through itâs teeth).
Then thereâs this, FFSâŚ
(Guess who appointed the judge)
DOJ has gone Full Turkey.
They are REALLY scared.
I think itâs time for a new nameâŚ
The INjustice Department
A story on Chris Hayes just now discussing that fact that the ONLY thing the Senate has doneâŚat least in this sessionâŚis blessing judges.
Please, please tell me we will survive this administration, the dark night of the destructive orange demon, and these Republican lickspittles and lemmings.
I think itâs safe to say here that you can judge the quality of the evidence and its potential impact by the aggressiveness of the govâtâs response. If it was truly the nothingburger that they allege, their response would be on the scale of a nothing burger. In this case, their response is on scale with âHoly fuck! We are fucked eight ways to Sunday if the SupCt considers this evidence.â
The Justice Department called the ACLUâs allegations âmeritlessâ and âinflammatory,â while comparing the ACLUâs arguments to the âconjuring â of a âconspiracy theory involving a deceased political operative that essentially hinges on wordplay.â
So much projectionâŚ!
Why hasnât Billy Barr been held in Contempt of Congress yet?
A long time ago, I heard a story that, during the Franco era, a Spanish government official said to a Swiss counterpart, âSwitzerland is a landlocked nation. Why do you have a minister of the marine?â
To which the Swiss replied, âWhy, in Spain, do you have a ministry of Justice?â
Seriously?
Who cares if itâs evidence?
To Barrâs DOJ using actual words to demonstrate facts is âwordplayâ.
This is all they can doâŚthe evidence pretty clearly connects the dots from the reasons that the idea of putting the question on the Census was created, and the way to slip it through, to the process that was used to generate the request from DoJ to add the question. It should be a slam dunk case, and thatâs why they are reacting so strongly.
Itâs too bad we donât have Garland on the SC, if we did then this wouldnât be a worry because there would be five votes for the Constitution. As it is, weâll have to see how badly Roberts wants to protect the reputation of his SC vs how badly he wants to cement Republican domination of the country for the next decade.
Stay tuned
