James and Deb Fallows have written a lot about Dodge City. It’s one of the places they studied for their book about good things happening in America. The immigrants to Dodge City were one of those good things. Obviously that’s complicated by some of the powers that be.

If Western Kansas was dependent on white demographics, it would blow away with the tumbleweeds. They will have serious water issues fairly soon due to aquifer overuse and it will only worsen matters.
