Poor baby!

It should be 14 years rather than 14 days.
Then maybe he’d have a reason to cry.

“He got what he bargained for…” and only has Trump to thank.

He lied to the FBI about matters that could reach the level of treason and impact national security, and he only got 2 weeks in jail. Sounds like a grand bargain to me.

He must have served up some fairly serious dirt on the internal proceedings. You don’t get to renege on any of that. (Other than pull your guilty plea, and let the chips fall where they may…)

Yes, the only issue here is how short a stay he will have, f’in traitors.

Seriously, 14 days would be a vacation with the opportunity for much needed rest.

Can’t imagine why he’s pissing and moaning.

This guy’s so ridiculous, I wouldn’t at all be surprised if he smuggled in a file inside of a cake…just to avoid 2 measly weeks.

Just waiting for him to demand a prison deferment due to “bone spurs”. He’s certainly entitled and stupid enough.

If any legal beagles can comment on this, please discuss the fact that Mueller can only be fired “for cause” and that even if Whitaker somehow remains AG, what he’ll have to prove in order to fire Mueller. What “cause” could Whitaker possibly invent to justify the firing?

Totally agree. Heck, the penalty for serving bad covfefe alone should be 2 weeks. Treasonous douchbaggery? Surely a lot more.

I wonder whether there’s something else he knows that his lawyers are worried he will reveal under the stress of imprisonment. Since he lied to the FBI after nominally agreeing to cooperate, it seems plausible that he’s still concealing a bunch of stuff. (He should also be under constant watch for the risk of harm from self or others, of course. It’s plausible that he believes that his life is in danger if he is in the general population even in a federal facility.)

'cause, like, he’s putting in jail all of Trump’s cronies.
'cause, like, Trump’s sons are likely to get indicted and as likely to get convicted.
'cause, like, Mueller disputed payments to Trump’s golf course.

You know, those kinds of causes.

Well, he claims to not have flipped Trump, so he probably did.

That would explain the hand slap.

First, those are DoJ regulations, which can be changed by the DoJ at the direction of the president. But most important is the question of who gets to adjudicate the decision, and when. I could see a good argument for an emergency restraining order on the grounds that the firing is unlawful, and there are probably several drafts of the necessary filings already prepared.

Two lousy weeks and he’s pulling this nonsense. So obviously this isn’t about jail. This is about what happens after he gets out.

Hmmmmm…Papadopey really, really does not want to be known as a bean spiller. Perhaps he was more useful than we think. The indictments Mueller has locked and loaded sure are making this guy nervous.

Skip the tea, buddy

He just wants his 15 seconds of fame. 2 weeks is nothing.

And as soon as he did the plea deal, he started squealing that he didn’t say anything to get a plea deal. Pathetic.

I was wondering where things were with Paul Manafort. Still negotiating with Mueller?

He will, of course, miss Cyber Monday, and that will be a hardship.
Seriously, the sentence was such a slap on the wrist that you have to wonder what he wants to avoid.

14 days to read stack of books sounds good to me.
