Surprisingly, the MSNBC talking heads called it a powerful moment and speech as she embodies a long time strong Sanders supporter who is now firmly in support of Clinton.
I’ve instantly fallen in love. Never a huge Silverman fan, but that was epic.
She was magnificent!! It needed to be said – and she had the standing to say it.
Silverman sounded good to me on the NPR radio feed.
I watched it. It was NOT awkward… It was heartfelt and sincere.
Awkward was Al Frankin afterwards trying to stretch…
Her statement was pitch perfect and bonked the selfish shits on the nose.
No, it was slightly awkward for a moment, and then Booker spoke, and then Michelle (give or take a few speakers in between)…and on my feed, the mood changed hugely to a positive one.
Overall, it was a good night. Silverman was great. The Bernie or Bust folks booing were just ridiculous. They are unhinged brats. I was/am a Bernie supporter. I have my issues with Clinton. But these folks pissed me off. Never seen such utter childishness in my life.
Having been onstage for awkward moments while “stretching” for time…the word awkward is perfect.
I don’t think it was awkward but maybe for a second. I know I’m not adding anything new here - but she was great. Paul Simon may have been a little creaky but he created some magic, and a little magic can go a long way.
Can I just say Michele Obama has once again nailed-it. Wow.
And why is Rump on the first page of TPM on the front night of the DNC?
She is Beautiful!!
Actually? For me?
As soon as Sarah gave that Audrey-Hepburn-over-the-shoulder-semi-pout?
I damn near melted.

All of the speeches tonight have been epic.
Right hand to god, Sarah Silverman is getting sexier and sexier every damn time I see her. Holy smokes! One of the funniest comedians of her generation, one of the sharpest people in media, and a stone cold fox to top it all off. Seriously crushing hard for her these days.
Thank God.
Ha, I thought it was a Meliana imitation!
Even with glasses on she’s smoking.
“Even?”
