Since I’m ranting anyway, and since we can’t comment on Josh’s editorials. It would seem to me that if there’s an election, and if the Dems dont’ fuck it up. The next future Democrat President is going to have to purge the FBI, I guess give the CIA carte blanche to go in there and settle some scores.
The Republican Party has not had a serious foreign policy since Margaret Thatcher embarrassed Poppa Bush into developing one.
Donald Trump’s supposed foreign policy will last no longer than his notorious attention span. But he could easily set things in motion that are not easy to undo.
Mr. Tiny Hands has a long way to go still, then. 59 cruise missiles were launched against Syria. Obama made at least 563 cruise missile/drone strikes (some with multiple missiles).
And Trump will never top killing Usama bin Laden.
California has had cap and trade since forever. Well established pollution management mechanism that works!
I cannot imagine Ann Coulter having even a nanogram (one millionth of a gram) of compassion in her character.
Don’t worry … Donnie boy already has set things in motion that will have unintended consequences. And not just in Syria.olling back pollution directives, restricting taking in refugees, building that goddamned wall, blowing up affordable health care…I could go on I suppose but you get the picture. And he has been in office just 76 days. Every time I hear the words “president trump” it’s like a slap in the face. We elected a frigging carnival barker who’s skill set is making money by selling his name and slapping it on buildings. We elected a tawdry man/child with the emotional level of an 8 yr old (apologies to my 8 yr old grandson) who is afflicted by malignant narcissism.
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has elaborated on his strategy to defeat the terrorist group ISIS at a memorable rally in Iowa and during an interview Thursday on CNN. During a speech at Decker Auditorium in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Trump said he would go after ISIS-controlled oil fields and “bomb the shit out of 'em,” to loud applause.
“ISIS is making a tremendous amount of money because they have certain oil camps, certain areas of oil that they took away,” Trump said. He continued: “They have some in Syria, some in Iraq. I would bomb the shit out of 'em. I would just bomb those suckers. That’s right. I’d blow up the pipes. … I’d blow up every single inch. There would be nothing left. And you know what, you’ll get Exxon to come in there and in two months, you ever see these guys, how good they are, the great oil companies? They’ll rebuild that sucker, brand new — it’ll be beautiful.”
Trump described a similar strategy to CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who asked Trump whether he might be destroying the wealth of Iraq if he went after the country’s oil fields. “There is no Iraq,” Trump responded. “Their leaders are corrupt.” Cooper said Iraqis might disagree with him, but Trump pressed on. “Excuse me, there are no Iraqis. They’re broken up into so many different factions,” he said.
Cooper also asked whether the US would need troops on the ground to protect the oil fields that Trump would rebuild after bombing ISIS out of them. Trump said he would put a “ring” of troops around the fields. “You put a ring around them,” Trump said of the oil fields. “You put a ring.”
The Alt-Right Trumpers did nothing but cheer this idiotic bluster. What’s really chafing their asses is that they believe Assad is actually a good guy because he’s regarded as being protective of Syria’s Christian minority. If Trump had sent missiles to ISIS, they’d all be cheering him today.
Putin-planted smokers.
I’m guessing people who feed him lines thought it would be the right time to sound human and compassionate, war is supposed bring that out in presidents, though I’m sure he’s as unfeeling and as unconcerned as ever.
“No child of God should suffer such horror.” But the horrors of hunger, poor or no healthcare, homelessness, ignorance, domestic violence . . . . . he’s good with that, apparently.
Suspect it means something like: “Obama and Clinton are corporatist neo-cons. All the alt-right and Russian propaganda about them is true.”
Whatever it means, the tweeter sure didn’t want to come right out and say it
“Child of God” ain’t exactly his lingo!
Drone footage of Shayrat airbase, after the US had launched Tomahawk missiles at the base. According to the statement, the US missiles killed 6 people and destroyed a training facility, a material storage depot, a canteen, six MiG-23 aircraft in repair hangars and a radar station. Meanwhile, the airbase’s runway, taxiways and aircraft on the parking apron remained undamaged. Only 23 out of 59 Tomahawk missiles reached their target. Chief of the Directorate of Media service and Information of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, Maj Gen Igor Konashenkov described the combat efficiency of the strike as “quite poor” and added that the US actions were “a gross violation” of the memorandum of understanding on flight safety in Syria between Russia and the United States. Russian Defence Minsitry said they are going to upgrade Syrian air defence.

Let’s see, of the 59 Tomahawk missles fired only 23 hit the target they were aimed at! That’s a percentage rate of 38.9 %, so I wonder where the other 36 landed?
Responding in the media is not the same as joining some effort against Assad.
And they could all have guarantees that it was a one-off so no big deal. Who knows?
But, in present time not the future, he’s still getting high fived and it’s playing very well for him.
For now.
Well now is where we are.
How did one woman sneak into that room of 14 men? Does she serve the coffee? Take notes? Shouldn’t it be 15 men? Way to go, Trump.
