Yes, they don’t care for who Trounce chose to bomb last night and yes they’d rather he bomb other despots that might not fight back, but, they are still loyalists and no amount of backwashing by them will change that.

That is what really concerns me the most about Trump. You can’t make up foreign policy as you go or, as it seems, have one that is reactionary like his middle of the night tweets.For all the harm that it caused, at least I knew what George W. Bush’s foreign policy was - I have no idea what Trump would be willing to do with, say, North Korea. Would he try be be tough and put us on a path to war and be afraid of backing away for fear of looking weak? Does he have any faith in diplomacy? Does he view North Korea’s nuke program as a problem that has to be solved one way or another in the next 4 years? Will he pay attention to it and then get distracted by something else and ignore it? I have no clue.

But Raytheon …the outfit that makes the missile… will not be pleased at the failure I am sure. This attack happened while Premier Xi was holding a Summit with DT in Florida. I am sure he was not amused. Normally countries do not do such things in the middle of negotiations. But then, this is trump…who has no knowledge of the niceties of Statecraft.
Apparently nobody was killed or injured at the base either. And I suspect all the important planes and stuff was moved prior so then the attack was purely for show.
