David Gregory has never shown any talent as an interviewer. His questions are usually superficial and frequently insipid. He often has only a tenuous grasp of the topics he discusses. And he rarely asks tough questions or delivers insightful follow-ups to evasive guests. I often find him maddening and dim-witted.

That’s not a lot better. Todd worships at the foot of Tom Brockaw and Andrea Mitchell too. He’s as big a fan of false balance as Gregory.

This is all over the net BTW, Todd is same exactly as Gregory. Commenters at Raw Story falling all over themselves repeating it like a mantra, emphasizing how totally they agree with last 350 posts saying the same thing – never any documentation.

He worked for Tom Harkin’s campaign so I doubt he leaned right,but when he came over to the corporate side, he seems to have towed the line
If true, it’s too bad that NBC did not select someone with journalism credentials. I suspect that, if true, instead of having McCain and Graham as guests, the first two guests will be Graham and McCain.

Oh Good -I couldn’t stand Gregory and the John McCain Lindsay Graham hack fest. I can continue with my appointment every Sunday not to watch meet the press and as an added bonus won’t have Chuck the former statistician (elevated by the demise of Russert ) sneaking up on any news reports except for Sunday morning when he will breathlessly inform us he has an “Exclusive” interview with John McCain and Lindsay Graham

I like Chuck Todd and why can’t he be given a chance? I’ve never noticed a GOP lean and sometimes we need to hear stuff we don’t want to. Sure, I would’ve loved Rachel Maddow, but Chuck Todd knows politics. Hopefully, he will learn from Gregory’s mistakes and widen the show.
