“Dick’s has more balls than Congress” needs to be a headline somewhere.
“We concluded that, if these kids are brave enough to organize and do what they’re doing, we should be brave enough to take the stand and that’s what we’ve done,” he said.
Well said.
This morning waking up to this news - first thoughts - these kids have accomplished more in two weeks than congress has in any measure of recent memory. Everyone who claims to give a shit needs to get behind them and march next month.
My SO is going shopping there this afternoon.
Hopefully this continues after the next earnings report to stockholders when attention has waned.
Wal Mart stopped selling assault-style rifles years ago. Don’t think they saw any ‘backlash’ affecting their bottom line. Still making $$ hand over fist last I heard.
Maryland case says assault rifles NOT covered under 2nd Amendment. “Weapons of War” not covered. Good.
I wonder who the first conservative figure will be to demand a boycott after complaining earlier in the week about how boycotts are unfair and tools of the snowflakes on the left.
Just keep in mind that Dick’s did this after Sandy Hook as well and started selling AR-15s again less than a year later. We’ll see if this one sticks
The last line of the RS story is priceless.
The better half has bought golf balls, I’ve bought a few things, so I’ll drop this CEO a note to let him the rest of us are okay with this.
That is the key …The rest of us
How many hard core NRA members ?
4-5 million
That leaves 300 odd million who are NOT ammosexual
I think your sanity Mr. Stack will be applauded by the Majority
There are hunters I know who won’t venture into the woods anymore because they’ve heard assault weapons firing recklessly there too many times.
This is right and everybody will have to be reminded when they get defeatist and cynical cause they do.
This is why the NRA has power
The only reason
Here’s the top 10:
Donald Trump — $31,194,646
Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) — $6,297,551
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) — $3,298,405
Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) — $3,105,294
Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.) — $2,888,132
Former Rep. Joe Heck (R-Nev.) — $2,529,305
Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio)— $2,319,755
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.)—$650,745
Rep. Lloyd Smucker (R-Pa.)—$215,786
Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.)—$167,411
I know that and so do the Parkland victims and that’s why they are going after the politicians who take that money.
Who the hell needs an AR-15 to hunt deer? Good on this man and his company for doing the right thing.
This is all true. In certain pols’ rush to provide cover for the NRA they purposely overlook the hundreds of millions who are not amused but are fearful. Stack’s not on Twitter but Dick’s is.
