Truthfully, the Trump administration is a full-employment act for high-level constitutional law lawyers. A ban on Muslims is a clear violation of the Free Exercise clause. When Cheney comes out against it, it is a signal to current members of the U.S. Supreme Court, and elsewhere in the judicial system.
It seems likely that many of the initial executive orders where not vetted by the Office of Legal Counsel. There will almost certainly therefore be legal challenges to many of them.
