Chaney is a war criminal and a coward (dodged the draft during Viet Nam “because he had other priorities”), who is quite willing to ignore the fact that HIS administration (Bush was in a catylitic coma most of the time due to terminal stupidity) cost thousands of US service members to die for nothing.
Chaney, Wolfowicz (sic), and all their Jewish neo-conservative accessories to the crime should be dragged from their holes and hung from the nearest lamppost.

The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL, presents the U.S. with a new, post-al Qaeda enemy that has destabilized a region from Palestine to Baghdad. ISIL has kidnapped the Turkish consul general in Mosul, a clear incursion against a NATO ally. We have real interests in this region and are the only ones capable of leading a multilateral coalition to prevent Iraq’s collapse.
Dick Cheney is more and more irrelevant in America political theater, while all of the above quoted passage has occurred under Obama’s watch. In the end Obama is the one who will have to respond for 6 years and counting of failed Middle East and World policies. It’s Obama who will have to explain how his actions, or inaction, brought about the situation we are today facing in that delicate region of the world.

We have real interests in this region…
This is the part that gives me pause. What, exactly, are our real interests in this region? Our decades-long involvement in the morass of Middle East politics seems only to have created enemies for us, people who would have been no worse than indifferent to us otherwise.

Once again you show that you are clueless. Do you suppose ISIL would even exist had not Cheney and company lied us into a war and turned just about the entire middle east against us?. Yes it happened under Obama’s watch, thank you very much George Bush and Dick Cheney for the mess you created that Obama and administrations for decades to come will be cleaning up.

Sorry, I just don’t care how reasonable Obama sounds compared to Cheney any more. Neither man is qualified to weigh in whether to accept or reject the legitimacy of the first three Caliphs, and no American with a Wikipedia understanding or less of what I just wrote, should support sending troops or dropping bombs to favor one faction over the other.
