Discussion: DeVos Taps Lawyer Who Claimed Anti-White Discrimination For Civil Rights Role

What this excellent graphic also show is the success of goper voter suppression/gerrymandering. Look at the increasing percentage of non voters throughout the South and yet somehow the gop stills dominates elections there. Wonder why

Yes, the oppression that this white child encountered while attending one of the world’s elite private educational institutions was just appalling. No doubt she was still complaining about it during her difficult days on the decrepit, crumbling Pepperdine campus. And the memories of the injustice still sting while she’s driving her $85,000 BMW 6 Series on en route to her condo in Tahoe or whatever exclusive gated community she hangs out in.

As you can see, the pain of that harrowing experience is deeply etched in her face. http://lawcomm.pepperdine.edu/candice-jackson-jd-02-appointed-to-us-department-of-education/

But wait—there’s more to this Easter Egg:

A conservative legal activist known for defending the women who accused President Bill Clinton of sexual harassment has been tapped to head the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights on a temporary basis. OCR is the agency that regulates Title IX compliance, and is responsible for the recent effort to compel schools to police sexual assault internally.

Candice Jackson will serve as deputy assistant secretary for civil rights, according to BuzzFeed News. She is a vocal critic of the Clintons and author of the book Their Lives: The Women Targeted by the Clinton Machine. She attended the second presidential debate in 2016 alongside Juanita Broaddrick and Paula Jones.

I think she’s going to end up as a younger version of Ann Coulter. Thin, blonde, and filled with a bottomless reservoir of bilious, self-righteous resentment that some brown or yellow American has benefited from their education.

So much white resentment, so little time left.

You know, if she could have just stopped at she felt discriminated against on receiving help I could have felt some sympathy. However, the whole affirmative action ‘is not well served by receiving special treatment’ is straight out of the Racist’s Handbook.

Perhaps Ms. Jackson needs a little cheese with her whine.

And here I thought DeVos was just grossly unqualified, turns out she supports white supremecists just like much (majority?) of the rest of the top of the administration.

Jackson also wrote an op-ed when she was an undergraduate that opposed affirmative action, arguing that it “promotes racial discrimination,” according to the report.

Candace seems clueless.
One of the biggest beneficiaries of affirmative action has been White women. A lot of people seem to think it’s only those shiftless and lazy Black or Hispanics. Candace seems to be among those that think that way - and she’s being picked to head the office to aid the very people it’s supposed to help.

That’s scary. What’s scarier is DeVo$ picked her.

Well, this sure sounds like a whine to me, but it could be cause I just came out of the rescue dog section of the animal shelter where most of them wanted to get out of the kennel. EVERYTHING sounds like a whine about now.

“As with most liberal solutions to a problem, giving special assistance to minority students is a band-aid solution to a deep problem,”

And, as with most conservative solutions to a problem, we will make sure that nothing ever changes and the problems never get solved.

I know I’ve posted three times but actually this topic is boring. Of much more interest was THIS headline:

Large asteroid to hurtle past Earth on April 19

Okay, how many of you voted for the asteroid last November? Be honest. Let’s see some hands. Well, it let you down too.

God she is lucky to be a billionaire. Nobody that stupid and offensive could live without an army of caretakers.

So very protective of the rights of minorities to not get redress for past discrimination. Just like protecting the freedom to buy nonworking insurances. She certainly had her talking points memorized at an early age. (And she seems confused about the math discussion section – from her special-snowflake passage you’d think minorities were forced into it rather than allowed the opportunity to participate.)

It really is still fighting in the 1970’s for these people. Allan Bakke lives!
