It’s a lock nearly all these contractors wildly inflated their bills and kicked back a huge portion of their payments to some Trump affiliated shell company. $50 says he pocketed 1/4 or more of the $107 million.

I worked with a guy once, robbed the company blind. Over the course of many years people were aware of it, but he was in a position of supreme authority and could fire you at the drop of a hat, so everyone looked the other way. The HR department made everyone sign a form once a year attesting they were aware of all the corporate ethics rules, and were or were not aware of any situations needing brought to the attention of auditors, corporate security, etc. Of course everyone rotely checked “NO” and moved on. One day auditors show up and everyone gets hauled in and threatened with their jobs, as they had proof all those years people remained silent. Of course the thief was fired. But he took so much he was merely dismissed, not even pursued for compensation nor charges filed. It seems the auditors had a mess they to wanted to keep quiet, and suing for compensation and filing charges would expose them to the same bullshit they were now dishing out to the thief’s coworkers.
Trump involves people in his crimes, makes them complicit, so much so that after a few years of doing business with him the only way out is to rat him out. But without assurances you’ll be let off the hook for informing you just stay silent and engage in his crimes with him. He has your nuts in a vice, for you made the big mistake of ever entering into an arrangement with him in the first place. I’m sure a similar dynamic is at play for those merely holding some position in his administration. You’re sucked into the criminal incompetence and the only way out is to run screaming from the building, never looking back, your reputation sullied, your sanity damaged.
Really makes me regret that I don’t believe in the death penalty.
Finding hard evidence of those kickbacks is crucial.
