Discussion: Despite McCain Replacement's Willingness, GOP Lacks Votes For Obamacare Repeal

Ya it’s all those uppity voters who think they know what’s good for them.
Despite all your propaganda and lies people discovered that reasonably priced health care is better than no health care , and if you really want to loose bigly , remove the pre existing condition coverage so your insurance lobby can make even bigger profits

Seems like Doug Ducey did a GREAT job protecting John McCain’s legacy. POS

Kyl won’t run again, so Ducey put him in to keep the seat warm until he can take the seat in 2020…That is, IF he wins re-election, which is no sure thing.

Returning to the health care fight is a decision “I don’t have to reach anytime soon and don’t have time to facilitate, even if I was so inclined,” McConnell told reporters last week.

Is there no one in KY that knock this old coot off his perch?

The measure would make it easier for companies to provide health insurance for fewer workers, refund tax penalties firms paid for not covering employees and postpone a levy on expensive policies companies provide workers.

So much winning to go around…

Do these guys drown puppies for kicks?

I’m not sure whether AP is trolling or serious.

Still confused how they just repeal it with no plan and are excited about that possibility. Seems like a major glitch to throw people out to dry because the government took insurance away for people or helping people pay for it. Just seems like that is a pretty terrible idea.

This falls into the feature, not bug, category. Hence the rollback of methane rules … and thousands of other actions since Dump was elected.

No one GOP’er or other thought the ACA was bad. At least not bad for the American people. But damn sure bad for the GOP if it was successful and that success was attributed to liberal politics. So the name of the game was kill it before it lives. No GOP’er gave a shit about healthcare other than their own. That’s why there’s been zero effort by them to come up with a functional alternative to the ACA. It was always about GOP entrenchment and a successful ACA threatened that. The problem is it survived the initial GOP attacks and folks see it for what it really is. Health Care. Not death panels or IRS agents in the exam room. Kill it now and the shit really hits the fan.

No. 3 House leader Steve Scalise, R-La., said, “We need to win this election and then get more seats next year.”

Um, am I missing something?

I thought that House elections were held only every other year. Are there House elections scheduled for next year?

You mean before or after the Ermächtigungsgesetz?
