Well, the dead people were Puerto Ricans, so they don’t really count, right? I mean, in the grand scheme of things. Brown and all. Ewww.
There has to be a better word than delusional to describe Trump. I get that he’s a liar etc… but really thinking that this was a success requires some really warped thinking
I’m sure there are similar stories told by KCNA in North Korea about how well the Kims have handled their various domestic crises.
They’ve conquered obesity and guys don’t walk around town with the waistline of their pants hanging at their knees, so points for that.
Insane. He is insane.
Nobody can throw paper towels like Trump does. Not even Tom Brady.
Yup. Those paper towels cleaned Puerto Rico right up. Everything there is now all shiny.
Think of all the un cleaned hotel rooms!
It was done under him, therefore whatever “it” was was actually very strong, powerful, and big.
This is all you need to understand. There’s no parallel mental track here. That’s just how he sees things.
He’s not well, but we all know it. His own staff and family know it. But it’s worth it to the staff and to the majority in Congress to keep the deplorables in the dark about it, to pretend really hard that this is all normal, at least for now. We’ll see if the midterms readjust this view.
After all this shakes out, every member of this group will have been part of the hidden resistance.
Trump came of age in the 50’s and 60’s, son of a Long Island Chapter KKK Member. Go watch West Side Story one of these days. It was inspired by the Capeman gang murder in the Projects where Lincoln Center now sits and where West Side Story occurs. The condescending racism in which NYC’s nouveau riche (i.e., Fred Trump and his son) held PR’s can be found in the well intentioned movie. Also, in the mid sixties, Oscar Lewis’ anthropology study, La Vida, became a National Best Seller, for months, mostly on the strength of the judgmental and not very compassionate portrayal of rural poor uneducated PRs displaced to the USA by the demise of the Island’s Agriculture and Sugar Economy and their inability to find jobs in the changing economy. During this time, future Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, from his Sociology Chair at Harvard, declared that inner city Blacks and Puerto Ricans could not be assimilated by the United States “melting pot” that had assimilated prior White european ethnics such as his ancestors. These were enlightened people of the Era where Trump came of age. Trump was raised and is still a racist who holds Eugenics inspired beliefs about non-Europeans.
And on the anniversary of an awful day when we lost about that same number in NYC, no less.
When it comes to moral reflection, Trump couldn’t find his own ass if you drew him a detailed map.

Demented?
“Do you feel like Trump has been a good president to Puerto Ricans so far?”
“I can only say what the President has done. He has always responded to our petitions. We got a historic amount of funding for the recovery. So in my capacity as governor, I have to call balls when they’re balls and strikes when they’re strikes, and I have to say he has responded to our petitions.”
unless someone loses their job…
2,975 dead Puerto Ricans is a FEATURE to Trump, not an error.
And, it being a figment of his imagination, it will likely continue to be unsung.
The hospitals in the country have shortages of saline and lidocaine, because a lot of these medications were manufactured in Puerto Rico. As the island have not recovered now we don’t have enough solutions in he hospitals. If Trump considers this a good thing, as always he doesn’t know what he is talking about. Besides he will not order to help Puerto Rico because is full of Hispanics that are not humans.
Deplorable?
