lol, when you’re getting ready for a very big, very strong turkey day and you even lose dersh
Associating with Alan Dershowitz should be an impeachable offense.
And I hope it rains in Florida and the Idiot in Chief can’t golf.
When your besties are telling you you’re fucking up maybe you ought to listen?
After he said that, how quickly did they go to a commercial?
Um. Yeah. Thanks for the insight, Alan.
Trump tried to get his Justice Department to prosecute his political nemeses
Dershowitz: “No, it’s not an impeachable offense but it’s the wrong thing to do.”
“Not an impeachable offense.”
And he says this with a straight face, too.
I’m sure the family dinner will be great fun! Poor Barron.
He’ll probably get cold McDonalds chicken nuggets and a fruit pie.
Duh-uh!
(The Dersh has lost a few miles an hour off his fastball.)
Reasonable minds can differ. When one of them is unreasonable they can differ even more.
A mistake? Like calling the wrong number? The mistake happened in November 2016…
Thanks for stating the obvious. This egomaniac has two related goals in life - defending rich criminals and getting his face in the media. Please ignore him, even when you happen to agree.
Dersh should go back to the Hamptons, if they’ll invite him…
"Let’s be clear, " Dershowitz said, “whether or not this would be a mistake is beside the point. To attempt to jail your political opponents would be a horrible abuse of power and clearly an impeachable offense in any sane world, just as it was in the case of Nixon where abuse of power in attempting to violate opponents’ civil rights was actually one of the articles of impeachment”.
He then added "Heh, no I’m kidding, I’m a once-brilliant lawyer whose any traces of soul I once had have drained out as I’ve defended the extreme right wing and now advising a straight up wannabe tyrant, and you’re Fox News, so reverse what I just said. Not an impeachable offense, but probably a political miscalculation. High five?
A third: “Defending” the government of Israel, even if it means lying his face off.
It would be intriguing to hear on what grounds the good doctor would argue this republic-threatening abuse of power isn’t an impeachable offense, but let’s be grateful he even admits that it’s wrong. It’s what the mental health practitioner he ought to have would call a “breakthrough.”
Nixon famously admitted on the tapes that it would be “wrong” to bribe operatives into silence with hush money, so it really just puts Dershowitz at the moral level of Nixon, in one way of looking at it.
Trump gets much of his inspiration from the Third Reich, and so he continually strives to implement his own version of “Schutzhaft”.
