I am amazed by the story. I went to an all-boys Catholic high school. The teachers and staff at my school would not have allowed the schools the free reign they had. And they certainly taught me to have respect for others including elders. The studentâs response once the story was first reported, and now the legal action, are spurred on by political operatives.
The universe will be sued next. In fact, I want to get on that bandwagon. Yeah! I want to sue the fucking universe. Goddam random, feckless piece of miserable spacetime. Rudy is rested ready and embalmed. Iâll see you in court!
Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz called the lawsuit âreasonableâ and suggested âthe world was guilty of libelâ against the high school students after videos of their encounter with a Native American activist at the National Mall went viral.
âThese poor kids seemed to be doing exactly the right thing, and then suddenly because they are thought to be white, privileged kids, suddenly everyoneâs ganging up on them,â Dershowitz told The Hill. âIâd be interested to see how the case unfolds, I mean theyâre asking for a lot of money, I donât think thatâs going to be taken too seriously. ⌠But I do think that they have a significant case and it will be interesting to see how The Post defends against their reporting in the case.â

Alan Dershowitz is supporting some ambulance chasers who jumped on the case as soon as it appeared in the press because they figured they could make some political hay out of it (how much you wanna bet if it had been some white supremacist and not a Native American trival elder this would never have gotten any further?).
