Probably got tired of der Furor hitting on her.

Mid-East peace process is dead. Thanks Jared! So why stick around? At least she got out before the stink took permanent hold.

“Dina has done a great job for the Administration and has been a valued member of the Israeli-Palestinian peace team,”

“But now that daddy has blown that all the fuck up, she’s looking for an actual job. We wish her well”

They are saying all the right things so why is she going??? And WHY is she leaving. The White House is shedding people… watch for other departures.

You got that right! Many pundits were quick to point out the Orange bloviator got nothing for the U.S. (or to further along the peace process), nothing for the Palestinians…just a total give away to far-right Israelis.

It may well be that, but also may be that Cairo-born Dina Habib Powell, wants out while at least some of her relatives still speak to her.

What phase of the meltdown is it when the ones with intact reputations start filtering out? I worked with a guy who had a lucrative media relations contract with a city council. After an election they got several incompetent and corrupt members up there and soon he quietly ghosted on out, not wanting to be around when it all came crashing down.

@mattshuham should have put this story into context. Powell is at least the 26th or 27th person to leave the administration willingingly or otherwise. At this time in President Obama’s administration about six people had left.

Powell will “continue to support the President’s agenda” at Goldman Sachs, no doubt.

Tired of steam ironing TrUmps pants.

I’ve been fascinated by Powell’s rapid rise to the highest echelons of politics and finance. Her educational background is not terribly impressive – she has a Humanities degree from the University of Texas. That’s not nothing, of course, but I doubt Goldman Sachs hires very many Humanities degrees. She seems to have risen exclusively by shaking the right hands in the Republican Party, was able to cash that in with a job at Goldman, and has now advised two very terrible presidents. No doubt she will once again land in an even more lucrative position, for some reason.

“All of us look forward to continuing to work with her, as she continues to support this Administration’s efforts on Middle East peace and other issues.”

She’s in line to be Erik Prince’s Sec State in the shadow government Trump is setting up to replace the faux govt we all think runs things. She was offered head of rendition and torture but she’s allergic to the latex in the gloves.

Guess it’s not a resume builder to work for the Trump Administration.

For all intents and purposes, she’s already gone. Outta there, just waiting on the severance package and an Uber I think.

I assume she’s leaving because as an Arab-American she can’t stomach working in an administration that just gratuitously blew up the admittedly slim chances for a Middle East peace deal for a generation.

That’s what I’m curious about. The article seems to have missed why she’s leaving after less than a year of Trump being in office (gag)

She’s tired of “winning”.
