A web ad? How effective are web ads?
Ask a Personhood advocate what the jail sentence should be for the pregnant woman involved in an abortion. (They have an answer for the jail time the doctor should have, of course.) They get real quiet and change the subject. There is no coherence to their POV.
Anytime I see her lying, radical face, I want to destroy something.
So, anytime a woman has a miscarriage, she would have to turn herself in to the police?
It’s funny watching puppets support personhood amendments.
Shall we call it Pinnochio Syndrome? She so desperately wants to be a real girl…
The National Review’s Kevin Williamson was pontificating on twitter yesterday that he supports death by hanging for both women who have abortions and doctors who perform them.
How “pro-life” of him.
Odd, the Democrats kept saying in the run up to the Hobby Lobby decision how certain forms of contraception do not cause abortion. One does not get to claim both ‘A’ and ‘the opposite of A’ are true at the exact same time.
Is her hair painted on? Is it a hat? Jane Lynch’s evil twin is scary.
Do you believe a drug that prevents a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus is equivalent to abortion?
Stop bringing that Spawn of Satan: “Science” and his mistress “Facts” into the conversation.
Don’t you know that a deeply held “belief” is more important (legally) than reality?
No form of contraception available in the US is an abortifacient.
Only the terminally ignorant believe otherwise, which flies in the face of science and medical knowledge.
So Ernest is saying that she wanted to amend the state constitution to make a “statement” about her beliefs? So we should amend constitutions so that Republicans get to make a statement about their beliefs?
I wonder what penalty it would be for a man who got a young girl pregnant then took off leaveing her with this terrible decision she HAD to make???
They ‘believe’ what they’re told to ‘believe’…
No thought process required on their part.
So much easier that way.
but science and medical knowledge i.e facts have no place in the conservative philosophy
Web ads aren’t effective at all, but they make some people feel better about their failure to do anything to help Braley. Actually they are an attempt to get the local news channels to air them.
It would be nice if the Dems would actually pay to broadcast the ad in Iowa.
Great, let’s have a personhood amendment which specifies that the poor, orphans, everyone on public assistance, drug addicts, the non-religious, scientists, the unemployed, everyone who isn’t white, everyone who isn’t Christian, everyone who isn’t the “right kind” of Christian, women who are raped, women fighter pilots, women in the workplace, all women, really, and every LGBT person are all, in fact, persons, and which clearly states that the social conservatives in this country have to stop dehumanizing, disenfranchising and constantly insulting them and everyone else they’ve decided aren’t really human and don’t really deserve human rights.
The personhood amendment also ought to clearly specify that corporations aren’t people.
I invite him to come after my wife and see what happens.
Here’s a hint: Someone will in fact die.
