As much as we already know in terms of the sordid criminality and grossly unethical behavior, it’s not even the tip of the iceberg. I have a feeling even the biggest cynic is going to be unpleasantly surprised about what’s been going on the past two years.

The way the letter is worded: “whether you have advised Whitaker to recuse … and the basis for that recommendation …” without the alternative, “if not, why not?” gives me a sense that maybe the Democrats have already heard that there has been a recommendation to recuse and they’re just trying to get DOJ to confirm that publicly.
Perhaps I’m reading too much into it and doing too much wishful thinking. But, a boy can daydream on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
This is really, really smart. Politically, this is just about the smartest thing the Democratic Party has ever done.

The Democrats just put up notice, we are coming for every last one of you dirty players. Makes me wonder what Murdock was doing, having a meeting with McConnell? There is an undercurrent of debilitating fear running rampant in the GOP. For once their fear is justified.
Murdoch meeting after hours with McConnell, Trump holing up, cranky, in a Paris hotel room when even he had to know, the optics were incredibly bad, Sessions meeting up with top deputies including Rosenstein with a still yet unclear departure date/time (his forced resignation letter was undated)…more than the usual palace intrigue. Looks like it’s every man for himself.
And why didn’t Jarvanka accompany Trump to this huge 100 year armistice commemorative event? As far as I know, they didn’t go.
It does. There is something going on. Now they know there is nothing they can do to save Trump or themselves. The Democratic House has signaled they are “all in” on getting to the bottom of this corrupt Republican cesspool. McConnell scares me more than any others. He could pull off something nasty (what? I dunno, but no one expected him to sit on the Garland nomination either) or throw tRump to the wolves.
