Discussion: Dems Raise $75M Across Many Campaigns, Signaling Lengthy Fight Ahead

…a drawn-out battle likely lies ahead

That’s fine – as long as we all come together in 2020 when it counts.

“Part of the difficulty is many donors are staying on the sidelines, waiting for the field to thin.”

They(we) are also waiting on Joe Biden to announce his candidacy.

BS article. Trump has been running for two years and raised 30 this quarter, that doesn’t stack up to 75 million raised by Dems.

Interesting how an article detailing how democratic candidates raised more than twice the president’s total, yet this article reads like bad news.

Also they reference the 2008 race but don’t compare the totals of HRC or Obama at that time to say Bernie or Kamala this time. That would provide context.

So, 75 is now is less than 30. My math teacher would be shocked.

Who wrote this? Since when does 30 million become more than 75 million? I am confused here.

2.5X the Republican is a failure and “lackluster”. Got it.

Yep… and not even detailed context to compare top tier candidate fundraising of 2008 (Obama, HRC)… like had Obama or HRC raised 12 or 20 mil by this point in 2007?

Wow typical AP take. These people are either mathematically challenged or AP is firmly in the bag for Spanky.

AP has been a water-carrier for the Republicans for a looooooooong time.

The other “part of the difficulty” is that AP thinks “Democrats in Disarray” is the only possible story in any campaign season. And how in Hades do they know these non-donors who will become donors are “waiting for the field to thin?” Did they check in with them somehow? This is some top-shelf work.

If I were the Republicans, I’d be pretty damn scared of the Dems. Do you realize that we collectively outraised Trump by more than 2x? Do the folks in the media think folks won’t heavily contribute to the nominee when they’re only 3 months away from sending Trump and the GOP packing?

In other words, “Money Pours In; Dems in Disarray.” Got it, AP.

I agree - this is a shit on Democrats article.

Now you tell me. :confounded:

AP is full on Tumper now since they got bought by a rich RWNJ.

TPM is sounding more and more like Huff Post with this headline.
