The NRA is just watching out for the god-given rights of all the Timothy McVeighs and Dylann Roofs out there. Sure, the terrorist watch list currently includes only foreign heathens, but it’ll only be a matter of time before good, honest, white, Christian Americans will be on that list. And then, it’s just a small step to confiscation and concentration camps, and Obummer becoming dictator.

Dead on arrival.

We just saw a Republican in the House first vote against a GOP bill clamping down on Syrian refugees entering the United States because a vote in favor means “the enemy wins”, only to (traitorously) switch his vote because other Republicans saw a political advantage.

But push it anyway, Dems! Sixty-one (61, at my last count) times conservative Republicans voted to deny Americans health care, so let’s have the public spectacle of Republicans now voting, over and over again, in favor of - terrorists! In favor of mowing down first-graders for votes. And when this bill fails, and it will, throw up another!

(Sigh.) First I chuckled at this—ho ho, those clever Dems, trolling the GOP! Then I said OMG when I realized we really don’t currently prohibit terrorists from buying guns. And then I said this is one more instance where you have to think like a wingnut—irrationally—to understand it. They see the government as an illegitimate, Vichy-style thing to be mistrusted and opposed at every juncture. If the country were being attacked by zombies I doubt they’d vote to restrict gun sales to the zombies because no no no, it’s a trick, don’t you see? First they came for the zombies’ guns, and I said nothing. And then, by the logic of the everlasting slippery slope, they came for mine! And there was nobody to speak for me! Mostly because the zombies had shot everyone and eaten their brains! But it’s a small price to pay for freedom, libtard!

For once, I think choosing the craven opportunistic conservadem DiFi is an excellent photo choice for this story TPM. This effort will go nowhere. Do they check the watch-list at Walmart or your local Wawa or any of the other places you can just pick up a piece with your beer? They do not. Until the Dems get the house back this issue is done.

Yep. Under the current circumstances, the will of the majority on gun control won’t be enacted. Not when there’s a passionately paranoid minority that gets off the couch and acts to have its will done.

Given that the NRA wants guns in every available pair of hands, I’m surprised they haven’t lobbied to eliminate the laws that prevent convicted felons who have served their time from owning guns.

That’s a huge untapped market.

Ugh, dummy libtard me, I didn’t think it through. It is a wise and prudent thing to sell guns to terrorists. That way, more non-terrorists say “Oh shit, they’re selling guns to terrorists now, the crazy fucks,” so they buy more guns, and since guns make you safe, we’ll all be safer than if we didn’t sell terrorists guns.
