Discussion for article #243081
Now liberals have gone too far.
The Democrats want to deprive terrorists of their Second Amendment rights? Thatâs the last straw. Whereâs my AM radio? Conservatives, your prodigal son is coming home.
How is this even a question? Why are we allowing gun sales to known (and suspected) terrorists?
Our country has really gone around the bend.
The NRA is just watching out for the god-given rights of all the Timothy McVeighs and Dylann Roofs out there. Sure, the terrorist watch list currently includes only foreign heathens, but itâll only be a matter of time before good, honest, white, Christian Americans will be on that list. And then, itâs just a small step to confiscation and concentration camps, and Obummer becoming dictator.
Dead on arrival.
We just saw a Republican in the House first vote against a GOP bill clamping down on Syrian refugees entering the United States because a vote in favor means âthe enemy winsâ, only to (traitorously) switch his vote because other Republicans saw a political advantage.
But push it anyway, Dems! Sixty-one (61, at my last count) times conservative Republicans voted to deny Americans health care, so letâs have the public spectacle of Republicans now voting, over and over again, in favor of - terrorists! In favor of mowing down first-graders for votes. And when this bill fails, and it will, throw up another!
The NRA, protecting the rights of terrorists to purchase arms, has jumped the shark.
Distract the RWNs with âmore-things-to-fearâ and maybe the collapse of the TeaParty will come sooner than laterâŚ
(Sigh.) First I chuckled at thisâho ho, those clever Dems, trolling the GOP! Then I said OMG when I realized we really donât currently prohibit terrorists from buying guns. And then I said this is one more instance where you have to think like a wingnutâirrationallyâto understand it. They see the government as an illegitimate, Vichy-style thing to be mistrusted and opposed at every juncture. If the country were being attacked by zombies I doubt theyâd vote to restrict gun sales to the zombies because no no no, itâs a trick, donât you see? First they came for the zombiesâ guns, and I said nothing. And then, by the logic of the everlasting slippery slope, they came for mine! And there was nobody to speak for me! Mostly because the zombies had shot everyone and eaten their brains! But itâs a small price to pay for freedom, libtard!
For once, I think choosing the craven opportunistic conservadem DiFi is an excellent photo choice for this story TPM. This effort will go nowhere. Do they check the watch-list at Walmart or your local Wawa or any of the other places you can just pick up a piece with your beer? They do not. Until the Dems get the house back this issue is done.
âIt is appalling that anti-gun politicians are exploiting the Paris terrorist attacks to push their gun-control agenda and distract from President Obamaâs failed foreign policy,â Baker said.
The chutzpah of these people is beyond comprehension. They are the ones exploiting this attack in Paris. I honestly believe if a presidential election was looming that they would be spouting all this nonsense. Especially from a party who doesnât even like the French.
The state of TeaXass in Nuging their drawers.
Wonder if âgun-salesâ laws will be instituted? Oh, never mind. Theyâll just buy more .
What does the NRA have to say about Syrian refugees getting easy access to guns due to the lax gun laws the NRA so proudly wants/
Ask that question of the NRA. They are the ones who want everyone to be armed to the teeth.
This is NRA nirvana:
Yep. Under the current circumstances, the will of the majority on gun control wonât be enacted. Not when thereâs a passionately paranoid minority that gets off the couch and acts to have its will done.
Given that the NRA wants guns in every available pair of hands, Iâm surprised they havenât lobbied to eliminate the laws that prevent convicted felons who have served their time from owning guns.
Thatâs a huge untapped market.
From 2004 to 2014, over 2,000 terror suspects legally purchased guns
in the United States.
30,000 deaths by guns and we canât have stricter laws, but 47 democrats and 242 Republicans are afraid of people running for their lives.
Ugh, dummy libtard me, I didnât think it through. It is a wise and prudent thing to sell guns to terrorists. That way, more non-terrorists say âOh shit, theyâre selling guns to terrorists now, the crazy fucks,â so they buy more guns, and since guns make you safe, weâll all be safer than if we didnât sell terrorists guns.
âŚCheck
âThe Democratic push seems likely to fall victim to opposition from the National Rifle Association and congressional gun-rights backers, chiefly RepublicansâŚâ
âŚThe same Republicans who think 327,000 is way higher than 935,000 and 130 gun homicide victims in Paris on a single Friday (about the same number of gun homicides in all of France in 2012) is way more than the 11,208 American gun homicides in 2013.
Slight adjustment there J.
