Huh, funny that. Might make one think some cheating happened in 2016 to flip those 80,000 votes. Somebody should ask Bannon about that.

Cheating or maybe those folks thought Trump would be some kind of different, maybe better, republican and now realise he’s worse, so went back D.
I think he already has explained how they targeted voteres in very distinct districts with manipulative adverts etc. to win the election. The investigation in Cambridge Analytica and the Mercers appears to have fizzled out
You’re right, that information has been released. I should have included the snark symbol to avoid confusion.
Mr. Mueller probably has some indicting insight into that…
Pretty sure he does. The U.K. is going after them hard, hoping information can be shared.
My impression is that the restoration of voting rights in Florida by ballot proposition may turn out to be a very big deal if the Dems work that angle hard for the next 2 years to get people registered.
Hate to say it, the Senate is lost for the foreseeable future. I just looked at the 2020 map and I simply cannot see how it can flip…
The House is a pyrrhic victory of sorts…
My Republican US Congressman in NJ 2 chose not to run after 24 years in the House. The Democratic candidate won 52% to 46% flipping the seat.
I just looked at the 2020 map and I simply cannot see how it can flip…
The reason I would agree with you that is because I’m just not seeing what Dem Senate candidates can offer these States that they would go for. If these Rethug Senators won with the stench of Rump permeating them, I don’t see what sort of message we can craft that will appeal to their electorates. I just don’t. This is clearly not about economic anxiety.
Three Senate races haven;t been decided as of 10am CST.
We had nothing yesterday and could have woken up to still nothing today. We need to count our blessings.
And stop thinking there’s a knock out punch coming anytime soon. That’s magical thinking.

And yet the most stunning Democratic pick ups were in states that went for Trump. There’s something going on, incubator stage, and I don’t think that should be written off. I don’t say we’re going to get the Senate in 2020. For fuck’s sake we could lose the House again by then. But there’s something going on and Democrats need to figure out what it is and keep running with it.
Florida!??
I guess Senator-elect Rick Scott can go to D.C. and go back to defrauding Medicare personally! With a tag team like Rick Scott and Marco Rubio, Florida will likely be completely submerged by 2020.
Why wouldn;t healthcare, jobs, etc be what could work in a red state?
Recount?
The dems are going to have to figure out how to peel off rural voters…it seems the gop keeps beating them with those voters
Did they work last night? Did Rump hammer home that the economy is sound (so far), that unemployment is low, etc.? No, Dems were trying emphasize healthcare and the bad effects of tariffs and, for some of them at least, it fell on deaf ears.
ncgirl741: peel them off with what? What are we supposed to be offering them that will appeal to them?
If I knew the answer I wouldn’t be saying the dems are going to have to figure that out. But the dems are going to start going to these rural areas in these red states that appears that is where they keep getting beat
Rural voters think racism, nationalism, and quasi-authoritarianism will put food on their tables and money in their banks, yet those are already falling short and in many cases making their lives worse. They will only double down, and make themselves willing accomplices to further GOP thievery.
As long as a moron like Trump is telling them what they want to hear it is impossible for a Democrat to dissuade them. It is fair to say we live in a vastly ignorant country, and these Pied Pipers of GOP destruction are always assured a sizable portion of the vote.
