I would think it better to have someone who has a history of living in the state becoming the candidate. Any outsider would face the carpetbagger label throughout their tenure
“Republican political powerhouse”. Seriously? Who would that be?
It’s the Associated Press. They’re into creative writing, not journalism.
TPM had at least 3 articles by AP and I didn’t find any of them particularly creative, at least in my sense of it.
Scott Adams said something along the lines of, “creativity is making mistakes, genius is knowing which mistakes to keep.” AP is creative in the first sense, but almost entirely lacking in genius.
And then she’ll pull up the football one last time by retiring.
Collins has to go. A monkey could be trained to vote for authorization of submarine base money. She has zero added-value for Mainers.
You know what, ValGal?
I feel about Susie Collins about the same way I feel about Rob Portman and Mitch McConnell. I don’t care how she goes so long as she is gone.
Rice would be a disaster because of her nonresidency and Benghazi baggage. The DNC, therefore, is I am sure enthusiastic about wasting money on promoting her.
Yep.
There are some that have succeeded anyway. Tom McClintock, conservative Congress critter from California 4th district, comes to mind. His home is STILL about 30 miles outside his district even now.
