McConnell and the Repubs insert an extraneous abortion provision as a poison pill and has the audacity to claim the Dems are obstructing?? Shameful!!

The republicans have been adding poison into the political system for years. It is time their poison came back to taint them.

I don’t think it makes one damn bit of difference whether Dems knew beforehand whether the language was in there or not. Not a bit of difference. All the Rethugs have to do is strip the poison pill out and get on with the bill. But they won’t because they HAVE to throw the reddest of meat to their base.
Dems can filibuster this from now until doomsday and I hope they do. The Rethugs need to pass some sort of legislation to show they can govern. So far, they’re 0 for 0. Dems won’t get the blame but the GOP will. Works for me.

Exactly! The timing of the “addition” of the anti- abortion language is not as important as that it was discovered prior to the vote.
