Discussion for article #226226
Is it because they used the word “bitch” in the same manner that the younger peeps use these days? Like, “Whattup, bitch!” It seems like much ado about nothing if you ask me.
its kind of funny!
One ought not to make such a mistake when dealing with a twitter account of a public figure such as a congressman.
The individual ought to be banned from maintaining the congressman’s twitter account as he/she does not know what’s appropriate and what’s not.
Notwithstanding the admission of a mistake –
FAKE.
The tweeter did not post a pic of him doing that volcano thing with onion rings, or the egg roll gag with the fried rice, or flipping shrimp shells into his hat.
FAKE FAKE FAKE.
I think we are entering an era of Meta faux-outrage. Is anyone even pretending to understand or explain what the issue is here? I saw the pic, and I’m sorry, but, well ACTUALLY, I’M NOT, but I thought it was funny.
Am I being a chauvinist towards stoves? WTF, people?
Michele Malkin can’t even see the aptness in her appropriately used Twitchy. She and the rest of them are a bunch of twitchy nuts.
Oh good grief. Another HAIR ON FIRE! moment courtesy of the "lipstick on a pig’ crowd.
My wife won’t even let me toast an English muffin on the range top. That said, I’d be really ticked if I had to clean up after that.
My suggestion is go to ridiculous lengths to keep Twitter accounts separate. I have local party account as well as my own, so I run them from different browsers on my pc, and I close the party one as soon as I’m done. On my phone, one account is run through the Twitter app and the other through the browsers.
But we also have to stop being so ridiculous about it. The deletion in 25 seconds suggests the staffer realized the error immediately and moved as quickly as possible to delete it. It shouldn’t worse than saying something stupid in an e-mail and deleting it before sending. But yes, always be aware there actually are people out to get you.
First, I’m not so sure I buy the story that this was some staffer that re-tweeted but deleted. Seems like the standard excuse when you get caught doing something that is perceived wrong, blame the underlings… But whatever.
Having said that, REALLY??? Getting outraged over a re-tweeted tweet? I clicked on the article thinking Rep, Ellison had made the comment but it was someone else…? Seriously…???
And they say liberals are sensitive,
I will concede it’s probably not proper decorum that a member of Congress would retweet something with a curse word. But the word “bitch” is said on network TV constantly so I can’t really see this as a major deal.
Wait, what’s the problem here, other than the fact the staffer was being a moron on Twitter?
Is there a problem with Benihana?
This is someone working on the Congressman’s Account, forgetting they weren’t on their account. Happens to me all the time. Don’t need Michelle Malkin looking over my shoulder.
I agree! The photo was great and the comment appropriate.
I knew Beni Hana. He was a friend of mine.
And Congressman, you’re no Beni Hana.
I’m confused at what the problem is? It’s not like there was an Asian joke or something mixed in here. That’s what I was expecting when I clicked this.
JUST GET OUT A PAN!!! WHATS SO HARD ABOUT THAT???
Sound about right? lol.
Your profile name fits your response, kudos.
Hilarious that Michelle Malkin is the one who is oh so outraged about the tweet. Everything that woman tweets is 10 times more offensive than the accidental tweet by the staffer. We must be winning if this is the shit the right is reduced to tattling on. Oh. My. God. He said BITCH and BENIHANA! Oh the horror!
