Money is good, but if he goes into a defensive crouch like so many Dems trying to run a R-slanted districts, he’ll lose like Ossoff did, even with a better pedigree. It’s a special election so voter outreach and ground game is critical, so I hope he puts his money toward GOTV.
I don’t know that part of PA very well but I’m guessing there are fewer independent swing voters that most places. But if Ds+Is > Rs+10 (percentage of electorate) on election day turnout, he can win. Unlike Georgia and Ossoff facing a similar R-lean district, there’s no early voting in PA. So turnout will be low on March 13.
Can we reiterate, please, that the expected outcome is that Lamb loses this race? And if he does so by a few percentage points, that’s still great news for Democratic chances in November.
I just want to head off the expected circular firing squad if that is the eventual outcome here.
Saccone is a good name for a Republican. It means Big Sack. Of what, is left to the reader.
Not only that, but the PA redistricting fight may mean that neither of the current candidates will be able to run in this district come Nov.
If the new map holds* they’ll need to seek re-election in the district where they live. As a testament to just how gerrymandered the districts were, that could be any one of five once they are redrawn.
* Federal judges decline to immediately throw out court-drawn congressional map - WHYY

and yet another example of the f-ed up double standards we’re always dealing with. GOP can throw as much national help as they want at their candidate, but Dem gets so much as a whiff of “outside help” and will be raked over the coals for it. It’s just another way we’re handicapped in addition to obvious gerrymandering, etc…
March is coming in like a Lamb.
Go Conor Go!!!
Ick. That promotes an image… that once seen cannot be unseen.
I was disappointed that Lamb was against banning assault rifles and some such nonsense, but then quickly took off my Bernie hat, and realized this is a district that closes the freakin’ public schools for the first day of deer hunting. What was I thinking?
He followed that up by meeting with Moms Demand (safter gun law activists) in the district and won their support. I live in the district and he is meeting with a lot of local groups from veterans, animal rights, unions, mom’s groups, etc. while his opponent meets with national Trump people. Who do you think will GOTV?
He’s been boasting about how he won’t vote for Nancy Pelosi either. Whatever, one more Dem is important regardless.
