Thanks inversion - I don’t remember ever seeing that Fox poll with Jones 50/Moore 40. What propaganda bullshit to get the 'pubs worked up enough to get out and panic vote.
Republicans in Pennsylvania appear to be on the lam with regard to this election.
Heck, I’d gladly skip summer if we could just get past Tuesday, November 06th, 2018, say tomorrow?
Oreilly flipped the finger.
If Lamb wins, Trumpites will scream that Russia meddled in the election. In today’s GOP, there’s no such thing as the legitimate election of a Democrat. Get ready for Hannity to fill his pants if Lamb wins. Oh, the humanity!
I theek that might have been the case, but i’m not sure.
It should be noted though that Dec. poll was basically the anti-climax to ‘Moore-a-mania’.
you’re welcome
I hope Lamb wins for many reasons but he seems like just a NICE guy. I’m in eastern PA and donated to him and just got a postcard thank you, which I haven’t seen done before.
This seat is being eliminated in the redistricting process, but Lamb needs to win just to stick it in Trump’s bloodshot eye; and to foreshadow a wonderful national revolt against all things GOP/Trump.
I find this hard to believe.
Get out and vote, folks: special elections are challenging with respect to accurate polling.
Exactly.
this is after the announcement of the Steel tarifs. I wonder what the lead would have been without them.
Even if Saccone wins, it can be an expensive victory…
That’s “Dildo Orally.”
“A loss there would further GOP alarm about its 2018 prospects…”
Re-districting left people a bit flummoxed, but in the end most voters seem to view this as a referendum: not just on Trump, but also on the congressional GOP. You may have read that Lamb has paid little attention to Trump in this campaign, which is true, but that’s mostly because he’s focused his attacks on Paul Ryan and the actual Republican record, which is not popular here.
Yes, It’s odd to be voting for just eight months of representation - but It’s only 24 months in normal circumstances, and in the meantime you’ve got the chance to show whether or not you like what a GOP government’s been doing.
Don’t rule out the possibility that Trump’s intervention will materially help turnout for Saccone. This is still a deep-red district. But I’ll bet that Lamb will win on the back of much higher Dem enthusiasm and a superior GOTV operation.
Poll has Lamb ahead 62-38 in the Allegheny Co portion of this district. In the past 5 statewide races (pre 2016) the margin has been 48-49. It shows that suburban voters are moving to the Democratic Party. Lamb is also winning in Greene/Washington Counties while hitting 40% in GOP leaning Westmoreland County.
People still have to vote but it’s almost 3 PM in the eastern time zone, and the news cycles and momentum are in the right direction. Hope the voters in PA-18 follow through and win this one.
Even Donald says so…
BC’s Opinion (on Lamb): Woof!
