When it comes to the GOP, it is always about race. Don’t believe me? Here is Exhibit A:

Not knowing anything else about him, I like this guy - a lot.

ETA: The Rep, not that guy  (who posted that?! Yikes!)

if folks are watching this and they want to know why we can’t get things done, you can use this presentation as the expose on why we are divided instead of united. How dare you that folks don’t care you about your community. How dare you suggest that race is the basis. How dare when I state on my committee working on this issue hour after hour and not one member brought this up," Woodall said. “We owe each other better than that. You all are better than that.”

Of course! It’s the Democrats who are the REAL racists! If you point out racism it means you’re being divisive (just like every comment thread on the internet, TPM excluded). HOW DARE YOU BE DIVISIVE!!!

Given that the GOP has Trump as the leader of their party, it’s safe to assume that ALL Republicans are racist, until they can prove otherwise. Every single one. Not voting for Trump and publicly saying you won’t vote or support Trump is a first step, but shouldn’t be the only one.

Shorter Woodall: Watch what we say, not what we do.

GOP: Yes, we are racists and will always be. Sorry to be you.

“I don’t think there was any racism until Obama got elected. We never had problems like this" - (former) Trump campaign coordinator Kathy Miller

Many Republican voters have bought the meme that they want a bull in a china shop. Well, what happened to Flint is what happens when you let a Republican businessman try to run a government.

If only Michigan could get someone like Haley Barbour (R-Scum) to relocate to Flint.

If I remember correctly, Barbour never seemed to have any problems quickly extracting federal aid to fix his plumbing problems. Heck, Paul Ryan (R-Mockingbird Lane) could even cut short his busy work-out schedule to announce, with great self-satisfaction ala blubbering John Boehner (R-Hiccup), that he would soon be going to visit him and, you know, sit a spell on his porch.

Hmmmm, are you sure it isn’t just about bug ugliness ??

Well said, Rep. Kildee. Well said.

They didn’t have to, it went without saying like it always does with racist that know each other well. Just like they never use the tern n_gger any more, they all know hoodlum is the new n_gger.

Woodall may live in a majority-minority county (Gwinnett) but if you look at his district, it’s clear to see he was elected by the people in the white outer burbs of metro Atlanta up towards Lake Lanier, the kind of places where people move “for the schools” and where the KKK still had a highly visible presence not that long ago.
