Seasoned investigators and prosecutors start low and small, with the least damning evidence, in order to up the pressure on the conspirators, accelerate their confusion, and enhance likelihood of leaks and flips. This is the Dems saying to Sessions “we know you were in on the obstruction of justice. You want to plea-bargain now, or later?”

Although this is among the least of the things Sessions has done, it still a) warrants his removal and b) is clear grounds for a thorough investigation of every single thing he has done since being nominated as AG to find out whether/how he has violated other rules.
Sessions is almost as inept as Donnie, so there’s a better than 50-50 chance he resigns before the mid-terms.
